Nothing wrong with buying online. I personally wouldnt make a 3k purchase with an unknown member with no sellers history.

Not saying you deserve it, no one does. But you need to do your homework when dealing with someone with no credible history and trusting them with so much cash.

Me personally, I would pay them a visit and go from there.

I find it interesting that in the craigslist post he has to re-assure people that his sale is "real and not a scam".... i wonder why he felt the need to point that out. i also wonder why his post kept "getting flagged".

It's simple. Contact him saying you're interested in the car. Meet him. Beat his ***.

Since you have his address and the VIN# on his car you can also put a lean on his vehicle. You can download all the forms from county/city government site. I would also file an affidavit for stolen goods in his city as well.

Inproper grammar/spelling. If you are selling something worth that much and can't even spell correctly it tends to look like a scam.

not to be a racist, but all the scams look the same they dont speak properly and are from other countries... not saying that all people not residing in the US are scammers but its generall its a tell tell sign, and as soon as i see that i run away.

I amazed someone would willingly send that kind of money without ANY thought in to how to get their money back if **** went south. You didn't stop and think, hmm, maybe at this dollar amount, its worth the 5 mins to check into how to protect myself from fraud?

granted, it can happen to anyone, you shouldnt have paid with cash or checking.
