Default Just hit 100k!!!!!!!!

well today on my way to work my Fairlady hit 100k..........

Im not sure if I should be excited or sad that she is getting so much use?

as of now here are things I have had to relace on her:
1. both window motors
2. Gas tank recall
3. both window regulators
4. Some kind of wires and amp in the dash which was expensive as hell
5. one sensor

things that need to be looked at, broken, noises or replaced:
1. tranny makes a weird noise when cold and accelerating?
2. gas shocks for the trunk dont stand up anymore.
3. trunk lid needs new door stops, making rattle noise
4. exaust makes a terrrible metal noise when hot and idealing. maybe new rubber in exaust hanger?
5. leather seats torn and work when they want to.
6. new paint job, paint is fading on lid and scratches from idiots that hit my car with their doors.
7. new clutch
8. spark plug change.
9. tire balanced
10. now since its at 100k it needs tranny flushed and power steering flushed
11. oil change, just noticed that.
12 new head lights starting to haze and scratchx is not working any more.
13. "Z" on the rear sway bar is wrinkled up
14. bose sub behind seat stopeed working
15. stock cd player doesnt work when cold lol!!!

but in all the car runs fine and still gets its far share in looks.

What year is the car? Sounds like some of those things you listed shouldn't happen because of mileage though.

Its a 2003 db touring z

I think all the issues it has is wear and tear.

why should'nt i get a trans flush?

I think My Z has traveled more than any z in this forums!
She has been all over Cali from Sandiego to San Fran. Its been to LA, vegas,
Its traveled from San Diego to Daytona beach so you can fill in all the cities its been through!.
In florida I have driven it to Key west!!!! and all the way up to Charleston, SC and all over georgia!
its been in Puerto rico for about 2 months, dont ask why!

here is a pic of her in the streets of charleston, sc

tranny flushes move all the particles around and will actually go places that it would have never gone during normal use, and this will cause abnormal wear and tear. for my car i've just drained and refilled the tranny fluid

3 sets on my 18"s

got a set for my g35 19" rims about same time last year and the back are gone! I been screwing around with it like this because its easier to slide the back end out lol! but ill be getting new tires after the holidays!!!!

On the way home from the supermarket with my 6 year old nephew some guy decided to play chicken with me and I had to run my car off the road!!! I almost hit a car coming out of a gas station drove over a grassy little hill and landed in front of some ladies suv. I went into my "work mode" and slamed the clutch reved the car up and spun a U turn and went after him! I caught him at a light took his tag down and called the police and followed him. I was armed myself and got out of the car and tried to get his attention and tell him about his stupidity he took off and I didnt follow since I had my nephew with me.

If I were on duty his *** would of been mine. I have good relations with the locals here they came to my house and got the guys info, but I know they aint gonna catch his ***.

Funny thing is my nephew is the kind of kid that you have to tell him like 10 tims to put their seat belts on, this time he did on the first yell I gave him and 10 seconds later all this mess happend. I explained to him thats the meaning of "**** happends" and that he should keep the seat belt on at all times in any vehicle. He crapped his shorts i think! lol

I agree with this statement, I take VERY good care of my z, i don't let anyone touch the thing...it's constantly cleaned and gets regular fluid changes, the only thing i had to replace so far was the left side fender when i got into a minor accident, so the paint was also replaced on that fender as well as the front of the vehicle but you can't even tell anything happened

at 100K you should have already had a fluid change on the trans and diff, and also should be on your 2nd set of plugs.

I have 89K and have done each fluid change twice, about to do my 3rd set of plugs, 3 clutches (one was faulty), 3 window motors, evap cannister, and 22 tires.

I think BrickyardRat hit 100K 2-3 years ago, in his 03.
