Congrats, your car looks great. That Lemans is nice too, but could use some bigger tires. Its body kit makes them stand out even more.

I was at the show today. I must say mcduck and the Lemans both represented the 350z's nicely. I think the Lemans owner's name is Brent. Let us know for sure you are. I know you are on this board. Great showing to both the Lemans and mcduck!!

That 240 was sweet!! Hard for an almorst new 350 to compete for "Best in Show" with a vintage ride like that!!

Congrats McDuck! Way to bring one home.

Man there were some really nice lookin' Zs out there.

Give me a PM next time ya hit a show up. I'm only 40 min from Charlotte, I'd love to roll to some shows with you.

Your car looks fantastic. Really like the iforged wheels. On the Audi forums, I've read numerous horror stories about dealing with iForged. Looks like it went well for you. Great looking car - tastefully done!

Thanks, everybody!

JZC... email me and I will put you on the local mailing list for events. Though the Carolina Z club had this event planned for several months, we only learned of it last weekend. So, for the 350Z drivers, it was kind of short notice...

DJK... Morris and I thought the same thing about the tires on the LSS. he's running 225/40R18 all the way around. We're sure that probably cost him a few points in the judging. Seems the crowd liked his ride tho... he got People's Choice!

Soul Hunter... Yeah, there's been some bad recounts of iforged experiences out there. For me, the only problem I had was the long wait, but I couldn't be happier with the results!

This was a REALLY cool way of showing off the 'hardware'! You won't mind if I use this when "Project TXSTYLE" is complete and ready to hit the SHOW circuit will ya?

I got a SS 350Z. I was told by the salesman that brickyard was "Barney purple" thus never considered it when ordering. When I later returned to the dealer, a brickyard was there so I asked a salesman "what color is this, I was never told of this color"!

Actually, I love my SS and I dont think I would have ordered a brickyard even if I had seen it because I just try to avoid something that dark (keeping it clean seems like a nightmare) but I always admire it when I see it. It is stunning. I went the 5 spoke HRE 445's route in the end after considering so many options. I considered going with something web'ed but opted for 5 spoke. So many great choices when modding a 350Z. Your wheels make it your car look great. You have got a fantastic looking Z! Your color and wheel choice is enough to make a guy like me that is totally happy with my car to want a 2nd 350Z just like yours.

Hey, go for it, TX! Afterall, I "borrowed" the idea after seeing it at a prior import show.
I will say that the tiled mirrors seem to have a much better impact than a single large mirror. More importantly, you can pick them up 6 to a pack for cheap at your local home improvement store!

zland...
Thanks for the kind words. I have to admit, the Brick is a pain to keep clean. Fortunately for me, I enjoy cleaning my Z and do so at least once a week... twice on most weeks. Also, I think you went with the right choice on your wheels. IMO, the "web" pattern wheels only look their best on dark colors. The silvers and "sporty" colors look better with 5 or 6 spoke designs...

zluva...
Morris was there, as were 2 or 3 other 350Z owners that did not enter the show.

Finally, another look at the Big Brick Winna!!!

mcduck:

Actually, I was thinking the SS would be only slightly more difficult than white to keep clean....WRONG! I usually wash my Z every week. It seems to start looking dirty after 3 days (garaged but parked at work during daytime) and after 6-8 days totally unacceptable. I wonder if others find the SS hard to keep clean? Is that common with chrome too or only the darker ss?

I have never owned black or any other really dark colors but others have warned me of the commitment it takes to keep them looking good. I wonder how much more difficult it is to keep your color looking good/clean than mine?

Unless I get caught in the rain (kicking up road dirt), I can generally get by with one bath a week. Of course, I park my car in a garage and do not normally drive it to work.

The biggest problem I have (as we all have) is brake dust. I can take my car out for one afternoon and find they get dirty enough in that one afternoon that I can justify wiping them clean. Good think I Zaino-ed them! Brake dust comes right off!!!
