Default Question about warranty...

i know in the owners manual it says that the paint chips/scratches are not covered by warranty as they shouldn't be... BUT, driving my Z along route 80 heading towards detroit 3 cars up a Pick-up with a dump carrying stones/rocks dumped about a 1/2 a yard of them and kept going... needless to say "Fiona" has 9-12 marks from stones (nice sized ones you can see) and they are driving me insane... Erie, Pa Police would not file an accident report as they did no diem it an "accident", so i called my insurance comany and they obviously won't pay to have the scratches fixed, so now im stuck and the quote for fixing it all is hundreds of $$$$, i don't suppose there is anywhere in the warranty that would help me??

Billy

If you paid for the paint protection package for five hundred some odd dollars, you MIGHT have a legit means for a complaint.

The warranty won't cover it but your insurance should. I was driving on a little back country road (the same road coincidently, that I filmed my Z-Flyby video for my Procharger) way back in 1988 when I had a Toyota Celica GTS. They had just chip and tarred the road and it was really hot so the "chips" (actually small rocks) weren't sticking. I was behind another car so they were all flying up and hitting my hood. I turned it in to my insurance and they paid to have the hood repainted.

It's funny you were in Erie. I am about 80 miles south of there in Hermitage (the Sharon, PA area) and my insurance company is Erie Insurance!
