very interesting, does anyone have advice for me on what to do? go lower on the price? sell the mods, then trade/sell the car? idk what to do...what would you guys do if you were me?...im sorta lost...
You have to get it in front of a crowd that is willing to pay what you want. A crowd that mods things out anyhow and will realize how much effort they will be spared and still price it to move. Aside from that. Keep it. Mod it further and make it what you want.
In the past I have found that a low low price sometimes scares prospective buyers away. They start thinking something must be wrong with it. So maybe you raise the price and let someone haggle you down a bit. Just enough to think they're getting a deal and you still make more than you were going to had you cut the price. I have actually sold vehicles after jacking the prices back up on them.
You're not picking a real good time to sell anything. Just be more patient. Someone will happen onto it. It's all about what it's worth to the other guy. We all tend to think our cars are worth more than they normally are. Because we factor in all of the wrench turning we have done and the hours we spent crawling all over them.
There's someone out there that will appreciate all that you have done and is in the market for what you have. You just have to find them. Or hope they find you.
Your best bet is to find someone that wants a hotrod and knows nothing about them other than they must have a Z. Aside from that part it out. Because they are more sought after generally without mods. People that don't mod tend to think it's just been hot rodded and warn to bits.
It's alot of backwards *** work either way you go.

yea i hear ya....im in no rush to sell it but i just want to see what a good price is for my car etc etc...will i make more if i seperate the mods and sell the car ? just want to get the most money i can for what i did to it...
You avoided my snow tire question. It was part sarcastic and part true. Who the hell buys a performance sports car in December, and looks forward to 2 more months of snow. Sell a 350Z in the spring.
I just bought my 03 touring 5at with 48k miles for 12,500. So personally I think 17k is too high. You also have to keep in mind that I was also looking at a 06 g35 6mt that had every mod you could think of and only 30k miles for 15k. I wound up not getting that because I had to finance, and my credit union had a bunch of BS rules which basically prevented a private party sale. So I had to go through a dealer, and my 5at was the next best deal.
It's really hard to get financing right now, even more so with private party transactions. I can tell you personally that I wouldn't have been willing to spend more then 14k or so for your car. But that is just me, and the deals I saw around Orlando. It's a crap time to sell anything. You would prob be advised to wait until spring time to sell.

your right about the winter time and the snow tires, i still have all my stock parts and i guess i should wait till the Spring time to sell or relist...another point i wanted to throw out there was...i wanted to sell the 350 before the 370Z came out in 2009/2010 or whenever it is...bc i know my car is gonna drop in price like crazy...and i'll never get what i really want now or later...it can only get worse for price wise imo...
Not only is it going to drop in price but everyone and there dog will be unloading them like mad. You waited to loate in the game for this move. Last summer was your last chance.
You should just keep the car. Your best bet now is to yank off your mods and trade it in on what you want.
