South Florida sighting

There is a Chrome Silver Touring, 5AT, frost leather in the showroom of Maroone Nissan in Pembroke Pines. This is not hearsay. It’s first hand knowledge. I’m 5’ 5” and was worried about the “bathtub effect” and wanted to check it out. I had a salesman call me when it came in. The visibility is not that bad. I would rate it a notch under the old 280Z I used to drive.
Sorry, I didn’t have my digital camera with me.

Yes. A very nice match. One issue though. There were floor mats and a trunk mat with this order still in plastic in the trunk. The trunk mat matched the rest of the interior but it looked like the floor mats were black. (I may have just seen the bottom of the mats however. I didn't take a real good look).
Thanks..yeah i believe that floor mats are going to be black. In a way its good. Keeps them from looking very dirty. I would have love to have seen some pics. If anyone is going down there could you please take some shots.
With all of these sightings in the Miami area, it's starting to tick me off, it looks like Nissan picked the bigger markets served by the ports to deliver the cars first to. I mean other than the keys Miami is the furthest south point and there have been no other cars reported between Jacksonville and Miami down I95 and in the west coast LA and San Fran got theirs first!!! Come in Nissan, I can't help it I don;t live in a big market area!!!

I just returned from Maroone Nissan and it's true they have 2 chrome silver Z's on the lot. The one in the showroom is for a customer that didn't expect it until November and he is not happy that it arrived so soon. The second one is a Base model with no options except mats and capet,
Both cars came in with approx 35 miles on it and they said the do an 8 mile test drive when the car arrives. I sat in the Base model and there really is alot of room inside. It had 48 miles on it already.
Can't wait to get mine, had them check the computer again and it is now saying Sept 5th.

48 minus the 8 mile test drive is still 40 miles. Clearly, these have been test driven repeatedly, and the dealer doesn't want to admit it. Who knows how hard they have been driven without even being broken in. Tainted goods I say.
If I'm going to pay MSRP for a NEW car, it had better be new. I've heard others recommend being there when the car is unloaded. Can't happen for everyone, but sounds good to me.
If I found my reserved 350z with that many miles at pick up, I would be steaming! I would probably refuse delivery and demand my deposit back in that case.

Me thinks they took it for a spin, most believe that it will have around 10 and someone out in LA said theirs had 13, so I think 35 or 48 is way too many. I wonder if you can ask them to hook it up to the computer to see what the max RPM's it has seen, is that possible??

Absolutely. As much as we all want to test-drive this car, the more people that accept 35 miles on a "new" car the more likely dealers will be to let some bozo test-drive (and probably violate the break-in on) YOUR car.

Who was your salesman? Mine was Joe M. I ordered there also; did you specifically request this treatment? Did they put on the front license plate and/or any maroone stickers?
When my order is nearing, I am thinking of putting in such a request.

hey Westpak, Nissan did deliver a black touring model to Sutherlin Nissan on Merritt Island and another Z to Vero Beach. The one in Merritt Island was off=loaded at about 130 and was delivered around 5. My salesman called me whenit was coming off the truck and it was gone 5 minutes before I got there. I had to go to Tampa Saturday and I stopped at Nissan of Brandon and saw a PPW one there. They were kind enough to pull it from there back lot so my wife and I could see it. We were very impressed even if they hadn't had a chance to take the white shipping film off of it or wash it. I was there around 9am. The sales manager told me that they delivered one Z on Friday. It was ordered by a doctor who decided to hold off for the convertible. They said it was on the floor for a little over an hour and a half. I did not want to know what they got for it.
