Default Black Touring At Universal Nissan

Ok... so I've been reading posts on this site for weeks and the information has been invaluable in locating and pricing my 350.

Universal Nissan has a black touring 350z available w/ Nav.
There are no additional options added to the car and the MSRP is $34,128.
This is an automatic without any of the performance package upgrades (18" wheels/Tires, VDC, Etc).

First I'll give my impressions of sitting in the car....
Then you can check out the bs the dealership is pulling.

The car is absolutely beautiful. I've always thought that the Z looks like a better interpretation of a 911 meets TT, but with much more dynamic power and handling.

As I am 5'6, 150lbs... I was concerned about the posts re: Belt height and side visability. I am happy to say that there are NO... 0 visibility problems due to the belt height. Visibility is excellent save for the letterbox rear window (but I'm sure we'll all get used to that in a day).

The leather seats are amazing and if you purchased a model without leather, the dealerships will be able to add them in a few months... well worth the extra cash.

Everything in the car is rock solid and comfortable... but in comparing them to my current BMW Z-3 interior here are my only sore spots:

1. Plastic door openers on the inside of the car are really cheap - not too much to fix as I'm sure there are some custom shops that would be happy to build aluminum replacement handles.

2. The plastic hinge for the NAV system is awkward, but acceptable. Well weighted and not cheap feeling at all. As a matter of fact all of the plastic compartments throught the car are excellent. Remember... this is not an BMW or Mercedes ($50k).

3. Controls for the AC also feel a little bit on the light side... but acceptable considering that it's an auto temperature control that you can set and forget

Overall I'd give the exterior of the car a 95% and the interior a 85%.
From all the reviews.. the actual driving experience is more like 99% and that's what we're all about anyway!

I turned the engine over and it sounds amazing as well. They wouldn't let me test drive it until the Price was agreed upon so we went into the dealership to talk Turkey... on to the BS.

They will not budge from $5k over invoice. $39,128 + Tax/Title/License/Fees.

Also, on my trade (a 97 BMW Z-3 2.8) in showroom condition, they offered me way below wholesale! So I walked...

I have a pre-order in with another dealership for my original Chrome Silver/Touring/6sp that will be here at the end of October and I'm sure they will offer me a better trade than this.. If not, I've got time to sell the Z-3 and CARMAX offered me a much better trade already. Not to mention I'll save thousands by not biting at the Universal City Lure...

Who would have ordered this in an automatic anyway... get real!

Anyway... beware as Universal Nissan is absolutely taking advantage of the fact that everyone wants this car NOW!!

As impatient as I am... I'll just have to wait on the z for now.
But now that my concerns re: the interior quality have been put to ease...
All I can think about is jumping on this thing!
