Default 3 Years of owning a 350Z

Hey guys I was surfing my350.com like I always do and I started thinking back about my 3 years of owning this machine we call the 350Z. As of right now my car has 81k miles. Yes it is fairly high but it is my only car. So what has happened? Well my car consumes oil, the rear axle clicks, and its worth practically nothing. Now I know its bad but I don't check my oil levels in between oil changes so when I do an oil change every 5k miles and the oil I empty doesn't come close to filling a gallon jug milk container you know its comsuming oil. My rear axle plays a wonderful tune everytime I begin to move or almost come to a stop. According to kbb.com my car is worth about 12k dollars. So what does this all mean? It means I suggest the 350Z to anyone. It may have its flaws but when a car makes you feel this good its worth it. I average 24 mpg with semi aggressive highway driving, I still feel excitement each time I drive it, still get some looks when I drive it, and each time I walk away from it I still have to turn and look at it as I walk away. Sound crazy but that it what comes from my 3 years of owning a 350Z.

Your Z still looks great considering the mileage.

Lol, almost at 5 years of Z ownership. It's meant hundreds if not thousands of photos at meets, lots of things changed, fixed, servicing costs, but it's all good, if you still enjoying driving it.

Best of all, all the new friends you make because of the interest in cars.

nice car, did u paint the hood? (because in the rainy picture it really looks like it). Im pretty sure the 350 will stay a 350, it will be still fun to drive 30 years from now, just like any other classic car. Good car stays a good car.

Also, why are u parked beside rice? :P:P

Well said. I am about to hit 65k and my car still makes me smile.
I am literally a few thousand from killing my note and am looking
forward to driving my car for free for at least a year...

Its as valuable as you want it to be. Any car you will ever buy
will depreciate at a rapid rate, it just so happens we hit a steep
part of the slope a few months ago.

Some of you need to stick to Gran Turismo if you honestly think 81k miles is high miles on a Nissan.

These cars are made to run 300k miles if you know how to take care of your ride.

81k miles is only high if you own a dodge a ford or a chevy. Nissans aren't fully broken in till 100k miles unless you have been abusing your car. Fu*k what kbb says. There version of high miles is for banks and people that want car loans. Not for the enthusiast
that knows how to actually respect something.

Your car should still be pristine at 100k miles. The OP's car is sweet and it sounds like he takes care of it so rejoice in the fact that you have a low milage Nissan Sir.

Stop listening to this sh*t about it having high miles. It's a Nissan not a porsche.

That's why the slogan is DRIVEN.

Some of you sound like you have been under societal restraint for so long that you have forgotten how to actually think for your selves. A large portion of you even act like you never figured it out.

If they told you to wear this pair of nike shoes and get in line for the koolaid and some of you followed the orders like sheep. The world would be a better place.

Great post, thanks for sharing. True love is looking back at your car everytime you walk away from it no matter how many flaws it may have. Your car looks clean by the way.

Have owned an 'O4 Touring Coupe for 11 months now, STILL enjoying the thrill like the 1st day! Has a couple of scratches & dents, but I only worry 'bout engine, transmission, cooling system, electrical system, you know, the essentials. Only Synthetic oil, K&N filter, Pureone
oil filter, etc. One of these days I'll take it to the body shop...

Both tsb's. Take it to the dealer and add another 200k miles to your car's life.
