Technical Service Bulletins. They're factory defects that entitle your car a free fix if you take it to a nissan dealer. My assumption that the OP's car is a 2006 Z. Oil consumption is a common problem for the rev-up engines. Rear axle clunk has been around since 2003.

I've had my 03 since November of 2004 and I still love it. Only have 49K miles on it still so I've got quite a while on it still, . I'm almost getting mad that my mileage is that low though because the weather has been bad and I don't get to drive it much, . Any ways, congrats on the years of ownership and don't ever sell it! I've thought about it but luckily couldn't bring myself to do it and I'm happy everytime I see it in the garage.

I'm sure your car is worth more than 12k, but I like where you head is at

Thanks guys for all the comments you guys are another I love having a Z because I have met some good people because of this car. To answer some questions I was being asked the hood was never repainted during the time of those pictures, however, I have noticed pretty much since the car was new that some panels paint color do not match and this is even considering my car is garaged. As for the TSB's since my car is out of warranty they would not fix the rear axle click. I never even tried to mention oil consumption its just something I live with. Recently my car was involved in an accident. I hit something or some uneven part of the highway. In the end I bent my both driver's side Nismo rims, busted my front bumper, bent the drivers side fender, broke the drivers side cat, bent the rear support crossbeam, my bulb shattered inside the headlight, my headlight was damaged and other misc things.....grand total $8,500. Luckily insurance took care of it and now the Z is even fresher than before. I will have to post some newer pics after I get my cf front lip. Thanks again guys for all the comments

My 3 year love hate realtionship anniversary is next month. I only have about 26,500 on mine. What mileage was it when you got the axle clicking?

If I were you, I would definitely start checking very closely your oil consumption....I know of guys with 2 new engines being installed....there's a huge problem with the '06's oil consumption.

Good posts. Yes, there's a bit of a love/hate relationship with these cars, but they are generally much more reliable/practical than an exotic Italian car (Alfa, Fiat, Lmabo) and the price is good for a real sports car.

I love these cars.

I've spent lots of time and frustration just getting the Nismo spoiler painted correctly (still not perfect-has some globs) and getting the aftermarket stereo to sound good on my '07. I learned my lesson-never get anything on a car installed at a dealer unless it's very minor.

I thought the axle clicking was only on /03 and '04 models?

I've had my 06 Z for over 3 years now. It has 39,000 miles and I have had 0 problems (knock on wood!) The only things I have to complain about is that my trunk latch gets caught sometimes and the black rubber coating they put on on the door trim around the window/lock switches falls off as the car gets older.

78K miles 04' Z had it since April of 04'. It has been my daily driver and I am in the process of figuring out getting a new car to fit the new addition to the family so hopefully I can let the Z rest so I can enjoy it longer.

I still have to look back at it when I walk away from mine.

I get called a dork all the time for that.

Are you lowered? What's your suspension setup?
