My Z's service trip today.
Z's first service since I have owned it and got many compliments and some info on the car. Sales manager, a few salesmen, the service dept girl and the tech were all asking me about it and saying what a good looking Z it was to be an 03 model and they all asked how much I gave for it and each one about died; I even had one of the sales guys offer to buy it LOL! So a simple oil change turned into me finding out that the brake pads and rotors were original to the car and the tech said all the fluids except for the oil looked to be original as well. So I found out I need the following and some of which I will do myself:
Brake fluid flush (do it myself)
Transmission flush and new fluid (let dealer do it and the auto trans fluid sample they showed me was thick and black as coal)
Power steering flush (let dealer do it)
New belts since mine are about shot (do it myself)
New air filter (do it myself)
Fuel system flush (let dealer do it)
Tire feathering which was common in some older Z's (dealer will align for free the next time I come up there for any of the repairs above or my next oil change)
Front brake pads are at 20% life, rear are at 15% and rotors are to thin to turn now (will buy new pads and rotors and replace myself)
Needs tires badly and may not pass inspection (will buy tires when I get my new wheels)
All in all I was told for the age of the car it just needs the most common stuff replaced and someone to take care of it. Also while I was waiting I was drooling over a new yellow 370Z, pictures on the internet are not flattering at all... you have to see it in person and the interior is 99.99999999999 times better!

dealer visit
Well that is the exact opposite of the greeting we got at the local dealer because we did not buy our used Z from them. The fact that I saved 7,300 by driving 140 miles did not seem to matter, plus the car had 13,000 fewer miles and was my color of choice.
It sounds like you have a good dealer. All my work will be done by a guy that builds his own cars. He has 4 AC Cobras under his belt plus several race cars over the years.
