Keep my pikepass in there for toll roads your supposed to put them on your windshield but, it works in there so why mount somethin there if you dont need too. Also keep a pack of gum, sometimes my wallet. Had a garmin in there at one time but rarely used it so got rid of it.

My sunglasses go in front of the cupholder in the armrest area. Fits perfectly and doesn't get thrown around.

ipod connection is routed to the cubby...thus the ipod resides there. Sometimes his cousin the iphone comes to play and they both hand out in the cubby.
When traveling my garmin fits in there nicely.

Dont put an iphone in the cubby. When you accelerate out of a toll with the cubby open it comes flying out hits your shift **** and the glass shatters....

F'ing sucks. Stupid glass phone.

When I first installed my ddx512 I ran the ipod connect wire into the cubby and put the iPod in there. Then I realized in the middle of the summer that the cubby gets really hot, so I rerouted the ipod wire back under the center console to the flip-up cubby between the seats (had to dremel out an opening to fit the USB connector through). In the middle of the summer the cubby between the seats is probably 20 degrees cooler than the front center cubby. Now I keep my EZ Pass, tire pressure gauge and gas mileage notebook (I write down mileage and gallons filled every fillup) in the front cubby.

EDIT: In case anyone plans to run their ipod connector back to the rear console, something I did was locate the connection point between the USB wire from the HU and iPod USB adapter cable just out from underneath the console, basically just to the left of where the shifter is located. I'll post a picture later. So now I have access to the USB input to the HU for uploading backgrounds and other crap, instead of having to pull the console off to do it.

That looks really nice in the cubby compartment.. is this just a screen connected to your headunit?
