What Color. What Color? What Color!

What if I Zaino the hell out of it? I really like Silverstone too. And all the other colors look awesome if they are kept well! What do you guys think?

Black is beautiful for about 10 minutes before it becomes filthy and ugly again.
Silverstone shines like chrome silver in the sun, yet shows better reflections at night. Watch out for the dull grey on cloudy days, though.
I went with the chrome silver because it makes the cars edges seem sharper and the metallic flakes give the car a shine that says "high-class".
The car looks great in all colors. However, the silvers require much less maintenance then the others and that's why most people choose either CS or SS.
My preferred exterior/interior color combos would be:
Redline-Frost
Silverstone-Burnt Orange
Chrome Silver-Charcoal
Daytona Blue-Frost
Lemans Sunset-Burnt Orange
Pikes Peak White-Charcoal
Brickyard-Frost
Super Black-Burnt Orange
&
Liquid Aluminum-Burnt Orange

I totally agree. Some colors just “belong” more than others on certain cars. For some reason the Chrome Silver and Silverstone are the Z’s color. And red just doesn’t fit on the Z, even though red is generally a sports car color. NO OFFENSE TO YOU REDLINE OWNERS
( I currently also own a red Civic Si, so I LIKE red, but not on the Z)
In my mind; Ferrari should be red, Porsche silver, Lamborghini yelllow, everything British forest green, and 350Zs are silver!

Maybe yours is the exception, rather than the rule. Bright red is bright red(regardless of whether it's on the z, an eclipse, or even a ferrari) it's just a color that is well-known for fading faster than either of the other colors because it's the most saturated. Both my father's red accord, and red mitsubishi truck's colors have faded. They are both 4 years old.

my girlfriend has a bright bright red mustang. She has had it a few years now and it hasn't faded... Still very vibrant and still very colorful. Looks the same as the day she bought it. FYI she doesn't wax it.
Ahhh..
it almost looks like I am going to have to go the G35c route... my dad wants me too. I like the twilight blue, but I think I am going to go with Lazer Red, to bad I gotta go G instead of Z.

Of course I'm partial to the red since mine is red but I really think it shows the lines and contrasts well. I love the silver/red and black/red contrasts between the handles, tires, molding and the remainder of the car. As for UV fading, it's undetermined at this point what effect the Zaino will have. It's supposed to also act like UV40 sunblock so if a car faded in 4 years w/ nothing, will it take 160 w/ several coats and a maintained coating of Zaino? I doubt it but time will tell.......
IMO ChromeSilver and White are pretty bland and do not show off the cars accents enough, expecially both silver colors, all the chrome accents (door handles, badging) just blends in.

I'm happy for people that have never had bad experiences with bright red car colors. But I always figured why most people buy neutral or dark colors versus reds and other highly saturated colors. Having seen new corvettes in red paint and always wishing that I bought that color for it's deep shine, but then eyeing my father's accord always scares me away. It's scary thinking that you'll have to repaint your car in only 3 years.
P.S. I guess I'll keep an eye on the redline at my school and see what happens. If it stays the way it is I'll try the color for my next car.

Chrome silver, silverstone, and black are the classiest car colors. These make the car look more expensive than it is. All of the other colors can't compete, even though they look great as well.

May be it's your memory that fades.
I originally had a Silverstone Enthusiat on order for July '03 pickup, but then Nissan decided to freeze coupe production in June to start cranking out roadsters...so if I really wanted the SS, I would've had to wait 'til this month for it. The dealership had a SuperBlack one on the lot with everything I wanted, so I told them I'd be willing to give a little on the color if they were willing to give a little on the price...the rest is history. I still love the Silverstone, but for a few hundred cheaper I was plenty willing to go with black. It's definitely tougher to handle in the keep clean department, but I don't mind...there's a certain pleasure in making grubby things look beautiful
It wasn't 'til the July CT 350z meet that I got to see every color side-by-side. Personally, I thought Black, Chrome Silver, and Silverstone looked the best. Redline was sharp, but I live in a county with very unforgiving speed traps, and it seemed like too much of a ticket magnet. I like brickyard a lot, but there weren't any brickyard ones around when I was shopping and I didn't want to choose a color based solely on a 3x5 swatch. Pikes Peak White surprised me...I initially thought it would be just a dull flat white, but that metallic flake gives a cool pearlescent quality in the sun.

I love the other colors daytona, Redline, sunset, Peaks BUT they seem really contemporary. Stunning colors that are nice for now.
However, the silvers and black look like they'll stand the test of time. When you see the last generation Z in black it still looks new. (maintained that is) Same thing with old porsches and Bimmers. Theres something neutrally undeniable yet timeless about a black/silver car.
just my opinion
When I first saw all the Z colors, I instantly fell in love with Silverstone. In my opinion, it looked the best under the bright sun, it looked great with Burnt Orange leather, and, just as someone mentioned before, it makes the Z look more expensive than it really is.
BUT, if I had to choose again, I probably would have ordered a Pikes Peak White. First off, I hate the way Silverstone looks when there's no sun - and secondly, Silverstone is too popular. Z's are pretty rare over here in Milwaukee - but the three times I saw a Z here, they were all Silverstone.
Oh well, I guess that's just more reason for me to give Nismo and Volk Wheels a call...

Does Red Fade ??? I think not .....
What I really enjoy is the fact there are so few Redlines around compared to other colors. But you are talking about a Z and ANY color is sweet......
