Default missing the road

So 2 months down and 4 left to go here in the middle east, and i find myself constanly day dreaming of driving the Z's i get no automotive release out here where the only nissans i get to drive are the 10 passenger van and the 32 passenger bus. Believe me the leave something to be desired in the performance and handling department. What i wouldnt give to be back on the open road with no agenda enjoying the wind whipping thought the window, the engine purring at me. throwing her around the turns feeling her hug me closer in the seats. i miss stepping out the door and seeing the sun sparkling off the pearl white paint and the smiles that i get as i cruise around town.
but i do have lots of time to think on what i will do with all the spare cash that i will have built up out here. the 300zx could certainly use some TLC. she has been tempermental ever since i got the 350 i think its a lil case of jealousy. but i couldnt get myself to sell her. like the old highschool flame you can never forget. *sighs* guess i will just have to wait till i get to drive the z down the appalachian mountains from maine to florida where the new duty station is. and start all over searching for the roads to cruise and forget about everything except the road. happy driving yall.

Unhappy

I've been away from my Z for 9 months now. Its miserable paying full coverage and making payments on something you can't drive. But at least I am on leave in 2 days and get to spend a bit with it. At least before I parted with mine I had a cross country drive with it.

I drove tank for 15 months over there. Don't get me wrong. Running cars, bus stops, small buildings ,and dividers over never gets old.

But the darned thing would only do 45 mph. And stopping? Forget it!

well havent driven a tank closest thing i got to that was my dads 73 buick centurion 'vert had 455 and was prob like 18 feet long with drum brakes so stopping with that thing was probably just like stopping a tank. was a pain in the *** to get it into a drivethrough. fastest i can go on base here is i think 60 Kilometers average is around 35 or so...... not exactly white knuckle fast. although they have these sweet little white trucks made by daewoo has i believe a .83 liter engine and 12" rims looks like a lil sperm. ill load some pics of the base up if i have some time

its a daewoo labo if ya google it youll see what a pimp *** ride that is, they also got this mini mini van thing with a full front armor brush guard and stock decals that would make a fast and furious eclipse cry in shame.
....could insert goog image link but long as hell but its first image, if you type daewoo labo, gotta go duty calls

Shouldn't you be doing a daily or changing a main mount?

At least you get to miss the Maine winter though. Same thing happened to me last year in VP26.

Are you driving to Jax in the Z or are you gonna flat bed it? I'm definitely not going ot drive mine from Great Lakes all the way to Jax. No F'ing way. I'll just beat the crap out of the Tahoe some more.

yep, i dont mind driving it at all last time when i drove the 300zx down to texas i had a stop off at the tail of the dragon and learned that the s2000 owns the z32 on none stop turns and switchbacks....well i already knew but still seeing it in person is a whole nother matter.. going to see how the z33 fairs this time. you probably have seen my white 300zx on base then it has the black roja 5 stars on it, and the pearl white 07 is my new one. cant wait till i get back.....btw the galley here at the deid still smells like A hole.
