I have read many posts on various forums expressing concern as to whether the addition of “aftermarket parts” would void the manufacturers warranty. I found an excellent web site that is sponsored by SEMA (Specialty Equipment Manufacturers Association) which addresses this issue.

The site has a lot of good information, but the important section pertaining to warranty is located on the left side of the page. You will see a menu heading entitled “Your Car’s Warranty”. Under this heading are two selections, “Warranty Issues” and “Consumers Bill of Rights”. If you have or are planning on adding aftermarket upgrades to your Z, this is great information for you. It may take some of the worry out of the process of upgrading with aftermarket parts.
