If I knew of a magazine strictly for 350Z's I would absolutely buy it, no question.

alright Sally Mrs. Sensitive! Its MY opinion that old 280Z's are old school, old timer $H!t. GET OVER IT! No need to go nuts over this.
Never did I say that YOU were a peice of $@# or that your INTERESTS were a piece of $h!t. (<---Misunderstood)
I use the word $h!t (as most do) as a reference to stuff, things, items, ect.....
BTW- i could care less if you called my car ricer $h!t. Its Japanese, and i am modding the $h!t out of it!
Ok...everyone just settle down...simma down simma down.

Dar... I apologize to everyone that this has hijacked the thread. That wasn't my intention. I did say that it was a jackass response (should I say so get over it, shil01?) and it seems I'm not the one "going nuts" here...

It is all about heritage. If you cannot appreciate where a car came from, you truly cannot appreciate it nor can you appreciate the journey that it took to get where it is. I am still trying to learn what I can about the Z and I look forward to maybe getting an older model in the future. I bought into the "Z" after being a diehard Mustang fan of all vintages from the earliest to the newest. My dream car is still a '69 Boss 429. One of my biggest draws was the fact that the model line was not a "Johnny-come-lately", it had a heritage and a following of truly dedicated people. I would much rather hang around with someone that spends their time and money restoring an older car, Z or otherwise, than someone that has no appreciation for the Z, or automobile heritage in general.

Got my new issue of SportZ last Friday and I have to say was a bit disappointed.
Is it just me, or did this issue seem lighter on substance than previous issues?
Don't get me wrong... I like the mag, but it seemed like articles in previous issues had more meat to them. I literally shot through the whole magazine in about an hour.

We appreciate your patience and we're working like crazy to make it better. It's the City Hall kind of thing!
I just came up with a semi-brilliant idea for you DaveZ#3; call McDuck and see if he'll give up his issue. He doesn't seem to enjoy the fall issue and he may be thinking of ways of unloading it.
Back to business...
Since we know we can't control stealing or lost issues, we will send a replacement issue first class at the four week mark. The four week date is not an arbitrary selection because we've analyzed this "dilemma" for three years and weeks 3-4 seem to be the time when the USPS awakens from their comas in some areas. It's sad that subscribers in Europe receive their issues before many stateside customers do. USPS, you're killin' us.
At the four week date [August 26th]. please email circulation at circulation@sportzmagazine.com. We'll do the right thing --- Count on it.
I really do wish we could do better but, I'm sure you guys understand how the USPS works.

Just an fyi: If it wasn't for the old timers, there wouldn't be a new Z today. What I mean is, it was a certain few who pushed Nissan into building a new Z and all of them own early generation Z's. You can say that more than a few early gen Z owners don't like the new Z, hell they probably don't like the 280ZX and the 300'z either and vise versa. And if you want to break it down further, the 240 guys don't like the 280's because of to many changes. This should not be a issue of like or dislike but rather keeping the legacy alive. I own an early Z, and if my wallet could handle it, I'd love to own a 350Z some day, as well as a Z32. There is no such magazine on the market today that caters to one specific style and year of car. Yes, there are mags on makes ie; Chevy, Ford, Mopar, etc., but not specific models. I take that back, Corvettes have a couple, but old and new combined. Always remember that one day your car will be the 4th generation of its kind and in that time there will be lots of changes that will make you the "old timer". It's life and we can't change that. BTW, I'm still looking for a magazine devoted only to the 1967 Chevelle SS, does anyone know of one?
PS: we try to be as fair and balanced as possible when it comes to having each generation of Z's in each issue. As the magazine grows so will the coverage of all generations.
Sorry for going off subject.

I was at a friends house and his mother came outside. This lady has owned a 240Z since it was new. I had just got my 350Z and when she walked out her son asked her how she liked the new 350Z? She replied, oh, that has to be the ugliest car I have ever seen. After realizing that it was my car that was "the ugliest car" she apoligized saying "I am so sorry you own such an ugly car but they really screwed that one up".
It is all personal choice and economics on what Z a person can own. I will say this though, the energy and cutting edge of the Z is the 350 because it is brand new.

BTW, what was that remark on pg.6?
"....it appears the Winter 2003 issue could spell curtains. We have tried hard to make Sport Z the magazine for all Z lovers, but the numbers do not lie, and hard decisions are before me".

Ztom, you can't be that old old-timer-****. You might want to get an eye tune-up and take a look at the last paragraph. Straightaway doesn't mean that I can't throw in a curve ball once-in-a-while.
GOT YAH!
I love this job.

BTW, Art (of Sport Z) --- what the heck are you doing here? Are you telling me that you finally went broadband plus? If so, welcome to the new world. BTW, there can be no EXCUSES from this day forth. Slacker --- Eh, eh, eh
Art, I wonder if anyone other than you and I will know what this next statement means: Bex needs to get permission before committing to MNF. WTF?

Re: Oh boy!
[i]I think that the marketbase would be large enough to warrant a specific 350Z magazine IMO.

How about this: You bring in 50% of the my350z.com members to Sport Z - 350Z, I'll buy you the supercharger or TT of your choice --- including installation. There you go...
Everybody is watching Chrismcagle --- Make your move.
One final thing, if you would like me to start a new thread with my offer, just say the word. Heck, I bet Mike would allow the thread to become a sticky if we asked him nicely.
I love this job,
Bob
