Sport Z Mag track-testing NISMO Z on 9/9, help needed!
Sport Z Magazine will be track testing the NISMO 350Z version September 9. We’ll also have access to a stock 350Z for side-by-side comparison and a ripped Sentra SE-R Spec V just for fun. According to Nissan’s invite, NISMO engineers and Nissan internals will be available to answer questions. So we’d like to barrage them with questions from our readers and users of Sport Z-sponsored websites.
Post your questions here or e-mail me directly at editor@sportzmagazine.com. We’ll try our best to get answers to every question and we plan to include some of the better ones in our Winter 2003 edition. Again, thanks for all of the support and let’s give NISMO both barrels.

Can i make a suggestion for a future magazine article? How about getting a ATI SC 350Z and a Stillen SC 350Z and do a comparison? I think most readers like to know what type of potiential their Z's are capable of and of course those that are planning to FI their Z will be even more interested.
Another topic would be to compare suspension systems on the track such as NISMO S, JIC, Tein etc...just my 2 cents, Jeff

Will you have the equipment to measure laterial G's and braking distances on the two Z's being tested. I would love to know what a Z would do with better suspension, tires, and sways like the NISMO car.

I was at my dealership today checking on the roadster and some Nissan brass from CA were in town for some reason or other. They saw my Z and gave me grap for not having NISMO parts on it.
Maybe ask these guys the same thing I asked the brass that gave me grief... when will the full nismo Z catalog be available so we are able to use nismo parts versus other parts. Also, why the are the US prices considerably more expensive than the Japan prices? We can import parts from Japan and have them installed and the price is almost cheaper than just buying the exact same US part. This doesn't make sense to me, maybe I missed something.
Oh yeah... the big one for me would be why did they decide to wait until 2004 to release the S and R tune ecu swaps for North American 350Z's rather than releasing them as they did in Japan earlier this year.
Best of luck with the test Dave, I'll be watching for that video comparison! (hopefully you guys do one)

When will NISMO U.S. body parts be released and what will they look like. Are they going to look like the NISMO Japan body parts?
Are they going to offer NISMO seats, steering wheels, 19" wheels (recently released in Japan).
Are they developing R-Tune suspension parts? If so, when will it be released.
That's it for now,
Victor
edit: Ask them just to list everything in development and when those parts will be released.

Ask them when their going to back up the dealers with catalogs, artwork for products and local warehouse availability. We're in L.A. and all my R-Tune comes from back east causing me a 5 day delay on parts availability (if it's not back ordered!!) Also what's with this Fall availability of the rest of the Nismo parts....... give me a date!!
some people are getting gains with mods such as cat-backs, plenums, CAIs, headers, etc. however, there seems to be some debate, or, at least i'm confused, about the stock ECU negating, eventually, these mods.
..so, my question would be; will you gain anything (hp and/or tq.) with such mods without reprogramming the stock ECU?..or do you HAVE to reprogram the ECU first, to see any gains?
thanks, i really wish that you would ask them these questions, because i don't think that anybody can say here in this forum, absolutely, positively either, or.

Question on the issue of failing transmissions would also be beneficial for the masses here - seems to be the most significant issue in terms of a part failure, though the actual number of failures might be very small.
