Default Please help choose a Z...G..

Newbie on here, but a long time lurker. I'm almost ready to pull the trigger, but I'm torn between a couple of cars. Need some opinions. What's a better buy:
1) Brand new '08 6MT base in silver, with mud flaps as only option for $23,000

2) '07 Silver Roadster Enthusiast, Auto, mud flaps, mats, dated chrome wheels, with 3,500mi - dealer demo car with 84 month 100k mi warranty for $23,500.

I can drive stick, no problem, though could't shift the Z smoothly from first to second - I know it's almost impossible. Also, I'm worried about all the manual trans issues, even on the '08s. I'm considering the roadster cuz it's auto, so wife can drive it too. Drawback for the roadster of corse is the soft top, and the fact it was a dealer demo. How do you guys feel about demo cars?

A third choice would be a '09 G8 GT... but that's another story.
Thanks for any and all advice.
Vlad

Welcome. Pretty simple. If you need a back seat get a G35.

It's your money and your needs...no amount of opinions from strangers are going to change that... Just test drive and check em out as you would any other new or used car.. Nothing is worse then getting something you didnt want.

Demo's? You mentioned lurking here for awhile, so you should be aware what demo sport cars go thru.

Good luck.

You didn't mention a few important considerations: do you live in a climate where a droptop makes sense? Will the Z (assuming you want to stay with that model) be garaged? How many miles are on the ZR demo?

On the six-speed, there's plenty of Z owners who have NO problems with our trannys. However, developing skill in properly utilizing a manual transmission takes time.

We should ban these posts. Why another Z vs. G post? Do other people's opinions really help you make up your mind?
