Default A couple of things done to the Z lately

Well, I have started down the path to Zaino land, I have been waiting 3 days to do it with this rain we have been having. I washed it last night but then it rained and was too dark to doo it in the garage, but during the day there is enough light to do it in the garage, if you want to lose some weight come down here and wax your car I lost 5 lbs today.

I did 2 coats of Z5 and one of Z2 with Z6 in between and at the end, I like I can't wait to see how it looks as I add more coats but I will take a break for now, thanks to brother Bonz for al of his tips and advice.

Below are also pictures of the front Brembo's I got along with front and rear xdrilled and slotted rotors from DBA, all of it purchased from Nick (racinfl) from N-Tech Engineering, great deals 410 for the Brembo fronts and 280 for non-Brembo rears, check his site http://ntechengineering.com/ good stuff and R&D he is doing with his Z.

The last pic is of the rear end after getting fixed, I had them leave it without any emblems, I like it, it is funny to see people trying to look at the front to figure out what car it is.

Thanks. But I had just finished 2 hours of waxing it in this heat and humidity and I just wanted to stop.

She looks good if I say so myself, it is hard to believe she is a year old and seen 5 track events.

Are those the Track model Brembos? They are so dark, not the usual golden Brembos.

How do you like the DBA rotors?

I was thinking of some myself.

Those are the Brembo's from a track model, as for the color that is what happens when you track the car, the color bakes and changes color, so if you see the bright gold color they do not track the car.

The rotors are the DBA rotors also known as Stillen rotors as they are the distrributors for DBA.

I bought them more for looks as I liked the xdrill/slotted look but will not track them as the rears are too expensive to wear out (I bought 2 sets of stock rotors for the same price) plus everyone says not to use xdrilled rotors for track as they might crack.

I think they just add that final touch to the car that it should have come with.

I bought them from Nick as I mentioned, check out his site he has a track model and is doing a lot of things for our Z that will help people with tracking like an oil cooler, brake cooling kit and additional vacumm for the brake system. He got me a good deal on the rotors plus it helps support someone that is doing something for our cars, his next project is the ATI Procharger, we will see how it tracks

How do you get the rear emblem off and then cover those wholes with it matching so perfectly afterwards? How much should it cost to have the back emblem proffesionally removed? By the way you Z rocks!

Well, if you want to use my method you have to come down here and wait at a light for some old person to rear end you. Not recommended though.

Unfortunately that is the only way I know because you would have to paint it over and for it to come out even it would be hard without redoing the area although a good body shop might be able to do it but probably more than it is worth.

My Brembo's are a nice golden brown! Yes, that is exactly what happens to the paint when you get them nice and hot.

Did you get the calipers from N-tech or just the rotors?

the z is a pretty car. wish i had the ballz to trade in my wrx for one. it would only increase my payment by $100. $100 over 5 years = digital cable and a plasma tv to play it on. digital cable + plasma tv + wrx vs. 350z. hmm...

I got the calipers also, but they were the ones from his track model Z so no more to be had.

He does sell the Stoptech kits.

Give him a call he will talk to you and suggest the best for you, he is not a pushy seller and down to earth, he wont push anything on you that you do not need.

His name is Nick number is (863) 324-6692
