Question 2004 owners—how are the seat belts?

Like many 2003 owners, I dislike the way the seat belts cut into my neck and I constantly have to pull it back only to have it return in a minute or two.

Has the new 2004 seat belt set up improved this problem?

Default Thanks mgl

I had been following that thread but no one had commented on what it is like after driving the 2004 for a few days.

My previous car, a 1996 Lexus SC400, had a similar configuration and it worked well and did not get in the way when getting in or out. However the take-up spring wasn't as aggressive as the Z's.

I just my 2004 "Z" 3 weeks ago. The seat belt extender is great. I test drove the 2003 "Z" I had to reach very far back for the belt, now in the 2004, the belt is very easy to reach.

A great change for 2004.

Default 2004 seat belts

I just picked my Enthusiast 2004, on 9/5/03 and I agree, Nissan did a good job fixing the problem with the seat belts. This only means that the 2005 will still be better.

watch out for the sliding adjuster on belts.when i released my belt it retracted and came to rest with the plastic peice facing the door.then wheni closed the door the door panel smashed it into the side air bag area .the result is a indent in the door panel

Ouch!

Are you talking about the extension arm or the buckle end?
