Damn right. It's too easy to focus on the negative when you get a new car. Every car has its problems and I can accept the Zs.

Default Great

Just love the Z. Last time I enjoyed a vehicle this much was when I bought a '69 Olds 442. Unfortunately the sales tax on the Z was what I paid for the 442 in '69.

I agree! The car is awesome. I can't stop looking at it and I fight the urge to drive it every morning when I leave for work. The thought of a rock chip or the garage attendants at the office banging it up usually sways me to drive one of my others. I always drive it on Friday's & sometimes on Thursdays too (cause I can't wait for Friday!) I make sure every speck of dust is off it every night (Cali Duster) & that there isn't a smudge to be found anywhere on the car. It's one of the best cars I've ever owned.

Hey jad85! I also had a 69 442! It was a great car. Had headers, 3/4 cam, Holley "Street Dominator" Manifold & 680 carb, 3500 RPM stall converter (cause it was an automatic) a possi trac out of a 396 SS and some other stuff. The car pumped out 462 rwhp @ 6k. It was super fast!

I definitely agree too. Good topic to write on for a change, haha.

Even though I've only had the car for 2 months (exactly 2, today) I have almost 4,000 miles on her, and I love her more than the day I got her. I seriously love every part about it! Opening the car door, the new car smell (which is still very present inside), every sound and growl she makes. I can't get enough of it. I know I've probably said lota the same stuff in other posts, but it still holds true. And from what I've read from owners in the 1year+ range, the love seems grow as time goes on too! That's just amazing right there, lol. I mean call me sentimental, whatever you want, but I love driving her. Going on road trips, work, school...it all has a better feel getting there in my baby

eh, just my .02

Lets see, I owned a GM, Ford, and Dodge. I have also owned 5 Nissans. I have had less problems with all of my Nissans combined that just one of my American cars.

Yes, I have the oil streak on the window but it bothers me so little I have not even taken it in to get fixed. If I was driving a Toyota v-6 I would be dealing with a probable blown head or a Tarus, tranny going out very likely.

Unfortunately I just don't love my z. I've had it since October, waiting on the list for about 10 months after checking out the concept pictures at the car shows. I do love the handling and cornering, and pushing it more than ever. The looks I get keep coming, it has a nice interior, and the dash and little features such as the tire pressure monitors are fun. Unfortunately, I just wish I sat lower in the car, or that the car was designed to be lower than it is. I think back of my days driving a Miata and loving how close to the ground I felt. I don't often have that feeling in the z, and it does indeed make me sad. Still, I have no other realistic choice for a sports car in North America for that kind of price, so I await the potential Supra or RX-7 to make its debut.

Hmm, I dont know what to say, you miss your Miata when you drive your Z. To each his own.....Maybe you should drive a Honda S2000? Kind of a higher powered version of a Miata with good handling. It is worth a try.

I wake up in the morning miserable that I must again head off to organic chemistry.

I brush my teeth, wash my face, attempt to make my hair lay down.

then throw my books in the bag and walk out the door.

then as my eyes adjust theres my baby right in front of me smiling in the sunlight ready to go play.

I hop in, turn the key, and away we go. puts a smile on my face every morning. I dont have any problems, I dont think about the bouncy ride, dont notice grease streaks; or even that the sub might be 217.8watts and not 220. I just dont care, windows down, Im doin 60 in 5.5seconds and I hear the sweet sound of the exhaust behind me.

makes me happy to go to class. tho it makes me even happier when coming back home.

I just hit a month on my car and I have 1800+ miles on it already. I literally have found joy in driving again. This was my first manual transmission as well. It feels like everything is coming together. I go to "do it yourself" carwashes and I look forward to washing it because I just love taking care of it. It's everything I wanted and then some. Everday there's always an episode where someone's jaws just drops in awe. You can't help but be flattered. Plus, the fellow Z drivers I've come across with have been very friendly. I passed by a toll and another super black Z passed by and we both acknowledged each other with a nod. Can't really complain.

The one thing I also love about this car.. is the LACK of them on the road, and when you DO see one, it's like this stranger driving it is your best friend and you don't even know him.
