Sharp car, but I still can't see a $1,100 premium. Maybe I be able to agree with the price when I see one in person.
Enjoy your Z. Sorry about your holes in the bumper

Peace
DJK, No it does not have an orange peel, under the bright sunlight, it looks like 2 or 3 shade lighter than CS. For me personally I love it so much !! I bet you are going to Love it as well. Good Luck !!!!
Here's some shots of my CS for comparison:
This is with bare paint:

Here it is with 5 coats of Blackfire (ignore the dumbass standing next to it):

Another shot after 5 coats of Blackfire:

Some Blackfire and a lot of sun:

I just can't see much difference with LA, except a lighter hue. I'd really love to see some shots without the sun reflecting off the paint. I think we'd see a bit of difference. I just wish I could find one to see in person...

Cool pics WashUJon!
I love the look of CS when the sun or any intense light hits it. Its named chrome for a reason.
LA is probably more intense under the sun by the looks of the pics. The areas that are hit by the sun are washed out in the pics and can only mean that they are super bright in person.

Hmmm....
I really like the pics that were posted by haria05161 of the liquid aluminum, since the regular chrome silver is just very dull IMHO. If this is something closer to the show car, then I am sure he's happy.
I might be hijacking the thread a little, but for current owners, would $1,100 more be worth having a completely flawless paint job with zero orange peel? I think it would be worth it, how about you.

I wish Nissan would spend their time and energy developing a SC (even for after market) with a warranty rather than figuring out how to make the DVD door shut automatically or to make a 3rd silver. I have a SS so i like silver but honestly, enough is enough. I wish they would have come out with ANY color besides a silver. It would give everyone more real options and maybe make it where 60% of the Z's were not the same color.
Remember Nissan, this is a SPORTS CAR. Develop better hp and handling, not shades of colors. At least we dont have a flower holder!
