I have to ask, why would they choose 2006 which has the worst known issue (oil consumption)? Obviously the '03-'04's had the tire feathering issue, but so many of these '06's have the oil consumption issue it just seems weird they would choose that model year.

edit: just read article, they only included up to '06's in the article. *smacks head*

Not sure that the oil consumption issue would play a role. And even if it did, the majority of the Zs are going to be auto, so no issue there, and another good chunk are probably driven without too much enthusiasm. The needed few extra quarts of oil for the others may not be considered as "an issue" as it doesn't effect "reliability" as much as what JD may consider "maintenance costs."
