tip or no tip?
just a silly question...when you guys bring your z for servicing or any aftermarket upgrades add on and after everything is done, do you tip? Where i am brought up from, you're suppose to tip from anywhere between %10-%15 of the final bill for any service especially restaurants...so what about servicing your baby??

No tip for service work. They over charge anyway. Also, no tip for starbucks or any of those other places that have tip jars out. You don't get a tip for pouring coffee or making a sandwich. That's what a HS diploma buys you.

My tip to you is, not to tip everytime someone provides a service... However, it does depend on the circumstances... A haircut, a waiter/waitress, valet etc... Yes. Someone performing work on my ride where a bill is involved, no. Situation dictates.

I only tip when it comes to one-on-one personal service. Waiters, bar tender who hooks you up, hair stylist, ect. I also tip the guy at Discount Tires, who fixes my flats for free. I tip ahead of time as often as possible, so you can recieve good service when it counts...

Waiters, if it's a special ocassion, I make it a point to decreetly shake their hand and slip them a neatly folded amount of money, depending on what I believe dinner will cost. Sometimes, I'll approach them on the way to the bathroom and let them know we are having a special evening and ask if they can take care of us, then slip them a nice advance tip during our hand shake...

I usually approach bar tenders early in the evening, before the place gets packed. I solicited to take care of them, if they promise to look out for me when the bar gets packed. I tell them exactly what I'll be ordering all night, so they only have to seen me nod. Then i slip them a $15-20. Works like a charm.
