No one said it wasn't slow stock. After a chip it is not slow, not even close.

Nice video of one with a chip taking off. That is not slow. It's even a DSG not a manual.

anything can be fast with money into it...im saying out of the box, its a slug and a chip alone just doesn't cut it either, as long as that stock k04 turbo i beleive it is is on there its not gonna be spectacular..

It has a K03 not a K04.

The A4 is a better daily driver especially for the winter than the 350z. No questions asked. I am not biased like this forum is. I suggest get a A4. Drive both and see which one you will like.

guess we see things different cause that video is slow...along with the comments from the other owners saying it pulls 0-60 stock in over 7 seconds or somethin crazy...guess im just used to going fast idk..i see it as a waste of money if u are looking to get something to go fast

oh its not even the k04, yeah i say if he is worried about winter and doesn't have another car don't get a z and the a4 is prolly for him, but if he wants something faster and good for winter, wrx sti or evo, or even a plain wrx id say would be a better choice

ya an evo is actually fast with just tuning and it will handle great in the snow, rain, gravel anything. I have one and it truly don't compare to any of the cars mention on here. I do like the 350z but factor in winter driving and the evo wins hands down. Honestly drive a ton of cars and you will be able to pick which one you like pretty quick (or at least narrow it down to two cars, which I did 350z and the evo)

personally I would get the Z but also from what you are listing as the prices of these vehicles is HIGH!!!
do NOT pay that much negotiate with them
I got my '05 350z roadster with 45k miles for $15,600 with a 3yrs /36k miles warranty that covers EVERYTHING including the motors on my top
its a buyers market get a better deal PLEASE

I live in Vail (27ft of snow this year) and just bought a z a couple weeks ago. I love the car but I won't even think about taking it in the snow. Personally, I wounldn't buy a car for snow conditions because I had an AWD subaru and hated driving it in the snowy weather. I ended up buying a 1990 jeep wrangler as a second car. IMO, if you want a sports car and live in an area thats cold and snowy, get a true 4x4 cheapo truck/suv to drive around on the snowy days. And...BTW, the jeep cost a 6th of what I paid for the z and is great in the snow.

its just the point that a rwd sports car should not be driven in the winter...its all salt and sand and the roads suck whats the point...its just not right to me that someone would buy a z or any other rwd sports car and drive it in the winter, its not the point of being able to....sure i could but i have no interest whatsoever to...

Everyone is saying my buddy owns this or my buddy owns that but no one here as far as I have seen has owned one. So this is all either second or third hand. My suggestions are to go to audiworld and talk to those guys about their experiences. I won't doubt that you will find many people who have been in your shoes. I can't speak on Audi since I do not own one but have test driven the S4 and also an A4.

The S4 is very refined with the Recaro seats and V8 power. Yes it is faster than a 350Z. But not until after 100 mph. The A4 does pick up around 60 whp dyno proven after a chip upgrade. But it's still not enough to beat a 350Z in a straight line. But honestly who cares because its not like you're going to live at a track. It's all in the mind. Once you can get past the fact that a 350Z is faster you will learn that the Audi is of better quality inside and out.

I've owned my 06 350Z for 1 year now. Keep it in mint condition and what do I get. Scratches appearing in the door handles, interior flakes from a deteriating cubby space, paint chips. I mean the engine is good and the car is quick yes. But what about the overall quality.

You must be one crappy driver then, I can and do drive rwd cars in the winter every winter and have only got in one accident (which the guy lost control of his car and hit me). Why do you think that police cars (well in Canada at least and I assume USA too) use rwd cars? Do they switch out cars for winter? Clearly you are wrong in saying you cannot learn to drive a rwd car in winter!

thats not the point...if u really wanna argue the fact if a 350z should or shouldn't be driven in the winter start a thread and see what ur results are...do u even get winter where u are...i have stated that i could drive my z in the winter but why would i want to, so it can rot away from the salt and sand and shitty *** roads and stupid drivers sliding around ...no thanks..plus the fact that my car is far from stock
