Question thinking about buying a 2003 z or a 2005.5 audi a4..looking for help

2003 350z touring
$15990
43000 miles

2005.5 Audi A4 2.0T
$15900
37000 miles

both manual, a4 is not quattro

i live in massachusetts which has terrible snowy winters for about 4 months of the year. dealers have tried telling me that its not worth it to get a 350z as a daily driver because the rwd is terrible in snow. i had my mind set on the 350z because of the power and looks but have been not really been basing my decision on anything outside of that. i know this site is most likely gunna be bias towards the z but can you guys help me out and tell me which car is better in general, as well as which you think would be better for me to get?

Neither. 05 Audi A4 non quattro is crap from my experience, all kinds of issues. Z in the snow=FTL. Look at used base WRX's.

A rwd car is easy to handle in the winter if you practice. It all depends on what you personally want but with good winter tires the 350z would still be OK in the winter.

those two cars have nothing in common, why not just get a g35 sedan or coupe, you'll have backseats and v6

The A4 can have a lot of power out of that 2.0L. Chip it and it will produce more power than the 350Z will.

And it will be better for the winter and more comfortable.

Next time there is 3 inches of snow on the road, find a 350Z at the dealers. Ask to take a test drive. See what they say.

the chipped 2.0t only produces 241hp/292lb-ft
so i dont see how it could produce more power than a 350z

power per Liter has to do with engine displacement not hp/lbs if that's what you thought I meant to say.

I may be an idiot, but I wasn't gonna settle on my car purchase based on winters in MA, my brother has driven his '06 Charger R/T through 3 of the more severe MA winters and has done fine, I wasn't gonna let it restrict my decision- only time will tell if I made a bad choice but I either intend to get great winter tires when the winter rolls around or a winter beater off Craig's list, either way, I'll worry about it when the time comes and in the meantime will be completely enjoying my beautiful ride during the nice weather months here in MA. The Subaru's are great vehicles for what they offer but, and no offense to anyone that has one, look like little kid go-karts. Good luck with your decision, there are some decent deals on used G35x sedans if you're really worried about it.

Thats to the wheels.

The 03 350Z dynos 230-240 to the wheels stock and around 240 tq.

http://www.go-audi.com/3898-revo-dyn...tock-chip.html

The A4 chipped makes more power.

REVO 260 hp and 302 tq. And since it has a turbo you can even get more power out of the car with just bolt ons. The Z is not a winter/daily driver car period.

z is not made for winter..if u buy a z i suggest to have a beater for winter like myself...and for commutes to keep miles down, a4 is junk my boy had one, slow as hell and it ended up taking a crap at 60k and is now sitting with a blown motor..the z and a4 are no contest, but its all in what u need to do with the car..like i said z is not for winter..i live upstate ny and i put my car up well before winter and it just came out to get tuned or it would still prolly be in the garage till the roads are cleaned..

I had the 1.8t, and yes it was a bit slow. The 2.0T doesn't compare man. It is not that slow and the numbers show it.

weighs like 3800 lbs. and is 200 horse and 207 ft. lbs.
...its a 15 second car and that is ***** slow and heavy, and like i said my crossfire is slow and i smoked that audi pretty bad...i do not recommend it at all, after driving in it and being passenger and seeing all the problems first hand, there is not even a comparison, id rather get a z and walk all winter then drive that a4 all year round..good lookin little chick car though it is

Quick Reply: thinking about buying a 2003 z or a 2005.5 audi a4..looking for help
