Default Tire Pressure Light

Sorry if this is a repost. Last week the tire pres. light came on. I was cursing the fact that I would have to bring the car in to have the light reset and was musing at how wonderful it would be if the light would reset itself once the pressure came back up, when low and behold a few days later when the pressure was up consistently, the light and alarm reset itself! I didn't think our Zs did this. Anyone else have this happen to them? Should I take my car in and have it looked at?

Thanks
J

it's fine. when my pressure went to 28, 27psi, the light came on, then I refill them back to 35, then the light went off.

it even makes a warning tone. this is all normal.. that's why those tps are like $250- $300 ea..

Oh I know that it makes a tone and all that, but I was under the impression that they needed to be reset by a tech. At least that's what my tech said.

At least I won't have to make a useless trip to the dealership to have them reset. I always thought that was very dumb.

Thanks for the reply!

i had the same problem. when i filled it up to about 34-35 psi... the light would stay on. but a found that that if you drive on the freeway for about 10 mins, the light will go off. the speed driving around the streets is too low for the sensors to read the pressure (stop signs and lights).

I just had that today after a long day of driving yesterday. I filled up to about 37-38 psi, and after a minute or two, the light went away.
