Default Windows went down by them selfs!!!

Hey everyone. I was washing my car on saturday, keys in my pocket and windows up. While I am drying the z the drivers side and passenger side windows went half way down!!! all by them selfs! I dont understand how it happened, mabye I hit some buttions on the keyless entry remote while drying the car. So i pressed a bunch of buttions on it and couldn't get it to happen again. I am 100% I did not leave the windows down, i watched the passenger side window go down. Then when i walked around the driver side was down. Really weird! Is this a feature of the z i don't know about?

I seem to remember a problem with the door handles awhile back causing the windows to roll down. Does it do it every time now or just that once?

no, you have to stick the key in the door, turn it clock-wise and hold it for a few seconds, then the windows will go back up (kinda like that vw commercial).

I remember going into a store to make some photocopies of a file for my job and just kind of threw my keys on the counter and then must have thrown something else top of the keys. When I came out of the store 5 minutes later I found both of my windows rolled down and the door unlocked. Since it was October and cold, I know I didn't roll my windows down prior and I definitely locked the car as it was only a couple weeks old. After thinking about it for a few minutes, I deducted that this was the only logical scenario.

BTW, with the new alarm (Compustar), I can roll the windows down and up as well as pop the gas lid, which has come in handy a bunch of times!

To reset the odometer, hold the driver's door handle with your right hand, with ur left hand lightly touching the top and finally touch the Antenna with your right leg. To make your car glow, do the above + have your teeth bite down on the unlock button.

I have something similar happen twice to me. I am getting out of the car and I pull the door lever. I hold it for a few seconds and the hatch opened. The only thing that I have been able to figure is that I accidentally pressed the hatch button on the fob.

safety rules in america, theres no sensor to know if something was in the way, so they are considered a safety threat.

havent you heard? like 11 kids have died in the past 10years from unsafe windows!!! must stop this atrocity.

THANK YOU! same damn thing happened to me!!! i locked my car walked to my work building literally 600 yards away 4 hours later come back to my car to see not only are they half way down but it just so happens to be on the one day that i dont get a garage spot and im outside in the lot. oh did i mention it rained like hell? nothing like sitting in soaking wet seat with actual puddles on the floor mats after a 12 hr shift in a 3 month old car. needless to say i wasnt happy. there is literally NO way i could have set them down by accident. after 5 seconds i was not even in range of the remote. my keys were in my pocket and both hands on a 28" pizza box..........yeah i know its huge, great deal

a key on your keychain could have pushed the button, just happened to get the signal.

you can disable it I believe, not sure how tho, some combination of keys have to be pressed...
