Default newbie question and help needed

I am a newbie and im very stupid when it comes to stuff for cars. I bought my 2003 Z and it came with aftermarket exahust, cold air intake already in it. I am just wondering what else I could add to make it faster? I know its a dumb question but I have no idea lol. Any help would be great thanks

Jumping on this bandwagon, I am also new to the VQ35DE and 350Z in general. The '03 Enthusiast I bought also has an aftermarket exhaust and cold air intake that, quite frankly, I am looking to swap out and return it to stock. Will I see major power loss from changing both of these back to stock? The exhaust is a Y-back that looks to be between 2.5" and 3", although I won't be sure until I look at it. The cold air intake was just cleaned with the filter replaced. Like I said, I'm really trying to revert back to stock and want to know if I will see significant losses.

If you don't have a lot of money to spend and want to make your car fast... you chose the wrong car.

No, you aren't going to see any noticeable power losses going back to stock. Unless it's a high-end setup, intake and exhaust barely makes any difference on your car. The only thing is it MIGHT feel slightly slower, since it will be quieter.

Why are you going back to stock, anyway?

Good to know. Reason for going back to stock is I'm more of a "sleeper" type, and the exhaust on the car right now has really wide tips (must be about 4") and the look really isn't for me. I'm also a big fan of quiet driving unless really on the throttle. Is the stock airbox expensive or hard to install yourself? I was planning on taking it to a dealer and having them fit it back to stock but if I can do it myself...

Not sure where you can find out about performance. Maybe the internets.

Haha I've heard the "search" function can also be mildly helpful.

Hi and welcome to the forum. Before asking a endless stream of questions, I'd suggest reading these threads...

https://my350z.com/forum/2003-2009-nissan-350z/197329-the-top-100-common-questions.html
https://my350z.com/forum/engine-driv...ns-your-z.html
https://my350z.com/forum/intake-exha...aders-etc.html

then take some time to browse the various subject specific forums. You find a lot of your questions have already been asked by others and answered numerous times.
