Sorry to hear that man...i'm still waiting to get mine back, its been in the shop for a week.
Damage was on the same side as yours although not as bad since the internals were untouched, just panel /bumper damage.

next time you should buy one of those cars with a early warning system on the cruise control so it automatically slows the car down when it detects another car up ahead
on a side note
there was a video on youtube where some guy bought a brand new lexus suv and took it onto the highway and set the cruise control at 100+mph and got out of his driver's seat and chilled in the backseta witha video camera while his suv was barreling down the highway at 100+mph
