It sounds decent to me, but I'm not the person to be asked about prices, though. I got my car a couple of months after the 07 came out and my car had 8 miles on it when I picked it up, because I didn't really feel like getting one off of the floor that already 200-400 miles on it, I wanted it as fresh as possible, since I was getting it brand new. I went from dealer to dealer getting a lower quote every time, and I haggled a lot with the final dealership the I got it from, too. I ended paying 29,6xx.xx for my car, while most people would pay 32-33k out of the door at the time. Since I got my car I haven't really been following up on the prices. 2007 Touring Z would be dope, though. With the leather and bose and everything...
Is it manual or auto?

Hey I'm in jersey. Where can I find some dealerships? I just got a full time job (out of school in may) and I'm looking for something around 15-20k. I plan on buying in August or Sept. once the job is definitely secure and the newer 2010 models are out. I've read up on the issues (tire feathering, gears grinding, etc) and I'm going to have to look for the HR, since so many people recommend it.
Thanks,
Vree

options
try for 08, avoids potential previous model issues that many had.
-> 03-04.5 tires, 06 oil, 07 transmission. think all 07's recalled for that.
~check edmunds site and review the TMV. remember all options 100%
markup, and can get newer tech such as nav for less.
~E.nthus has steering wheel controls u can't add to a base, includ. bluetooth, cruise. leather adds 13 lbs/ seat. LSD good for mud/snow but 30k life, might replace with clutch type later.
~see specs for models on this site to compare.
~check paint, 250+ for restoration polish, glaze and seal.
08 E., 4k m., $22.

The 07 was recalled for master slave cylinder, its not exactly the transmission, and by this time, most likely all recalled 07s have been fixed by the dealer, since the recall was issued like a year ago or something like that, unless someone just didn't want to take their car to the dealer to get fixed for free.

vin checks
http://autodatabank.com/ can ask dealer or do own checking.
worth getting months vin checking if u'r looking around.
also, remember cars can be shipped; if you expand search ( such as edmonds site ) might find better deal worth shipping fee.
(btw, thx for correction on 07 issue, threefiftyZ.)

Oh yeah, definitely, if he has maintenance records he should have a record of that, too. When the recall came I really didn't have a problem with my slave cylinder, so I guess I can see why someone wouldn't take it, even if he didn't take it to get it replaced, as far as I know any Nissan dealer will do it for free if he didn't have it replaced already, since it was an official recall from Nissan.
EDIT: Check that site Phos posted.
No problem.

I know you're probably tired of me repeating this, but, 07-08, man.

Buying a older Z, or any cars in that matter, have patience. There are a lot of nice Z for a great price, I've seen '08 with around 20K miles+ for $20K and I know a guy who I believe led him to buy a Z bought a new '08 for $23K. I've seen Nismo go for $29K with few miles. I would recommend you buy an '05 Anniversary model with Brembo Brakes and 300HP motor for a good price, some dealers don't know that they made an Anniversary model in '05.

It's not a given that its going to do it, but there's always a chance, and that's something you don't really want to deal with, its a ***** and you'll be pissed off, like seriously pissed off. What kind of model is it?
