Default I was at the dealership yesterday...

I was changing oil yesterday so I had half an hour to waste. I went to see Z roadster, and I became a witness to a salesman (S)trying to sell performance Z to guys looking like a 18yo boy and his dad (D).

S: This is a great car! Pure performance...
D: But why you saing you can't go lower?
S: Well, they build only 5000 of them... We don't get many of them, os we just can't afford go lower. But remember that you always can sell them high. They keep value, you know...
D: But I've heard that you can buy below MSRP...
S: Where did you hear it? I never heard about Z selling below MSRP... They usually go above... But we are giving you a good deal - MSRP
....

D: What about driving in the winter?
S: Or, you can't drive it in winter. We just tried to drive it on grass and it just can't move even on grass. No, you don't want to drive it in winter...

At that moment I couldn't stand that BS anymore and I said
-sorry for interaptin, but you Z drives in winter pretty good. I own a Z and I drive it in winter, you just need a winter tires...
S: Yes, you don't want to drive on this (pointing) tires...

I was expecting son and dad to come to me after talking to a dealer to ask about reallife experience instead of dealers' fairtails. They didn't. Too bad for them. I could've save them 2 to 4 grands by suggesting were to buy at normal price...

I have posted this before but thought I would let yall know, I was at my dealer getting my free oil change, They had one roadster, Red, auto, Enthusiast, no leather.

$9995 above MSRP. Listed for $46

Unbelievable that people would pay that much.

This is the 2nd one, I am sure the 1st got suckered.

Also the 03 and 04's hardtop's are stickered $2999 above MSRP.

They are also charging $399 for a hood bra only, $189 for interior protection.

It amazes me to see dealers gouging customers like this.

But then again, there's a sucker born every minute.

They were talking about a coupe, not roadster!

I guess all dealers will die once today's kids will growup. I hope even today inet is PIA for dealers...

Stopped by a Louisvile, Kentucky dealership last week. They had 5 Roadsters in 5 different colors. They sold 4 within 5 days. All at MSRP. Not a penny over. The last I checked they still had a CS Performance. Beatiful car. Asking MSRP.

Yesterday I stopped at a Lexington, Kentucky dealership. The saleman was the poster child for everything terrible about a car dealer. He stood their and lied to me on just about every aspect of the car. They had 2 Roadsters. Both were sold that morning at MRSP PLUS $5000! A sucker is truly born every minute!

All of the roadsters at the dealership I work at are for sale at MSRP. No markups here...

what a greaseball...wish I could've been there to tell them about my dealership, where they gladly sold me a coupe for $2k under MSRP with free oil changes for life.
