op- something like that happened to me 2 months ago i was in a banked right curb going about 50 (wide curb) and i downshifted from 4th to 3rd and i didn't rev match and my rear end slid completely to the left, i spun like 5 times but i managed to straightened it out. i was a little freaked out and was lucky the cars behind me completely stopped and no one was around. i def had an angel watching over me man i went home and kissed my car thanking god nothing happened lol.

Glad your okay. Now when you get a chance take a car control clinic.

^^ it means he still has no clue what loading and unloading a suspension with throttle can do to a car.

No such thing as accidents (unless a bolt of lightning flew down from the heavens...). They are caused by a chain of controllable events which were ignored for one reason or another.

ironic fact : today 3 people were struck by lightning in bradenton (a city down the street).... talk about the odds!!!!

Actually, two quite similar scenarios, based on the information you provided.

Kind of true. But he didn't come on here and try to make some excuse about what happened. He didn't try to play it off as though he was doing something cool for his friends and the road was at fault for his accident.

He gave it too much power on a wet road and couldn't control it. Stupid? Yes. But he lost his Z for it. Hopefully he'll be more careful next time.

I only flame people that try to play off their ignorant driving as the car's fault, or the wet road's fault or the old-lady-crossing-the-road's fault.

Daum Danny. Hurts to see this thread.

Really happy that you and Jim walked away. Get checked up by the doc (xrays/cat-scan) so you can rest assured that you are ok.

Better rent a mini van and bring Jay and Ashley too. 4 Zs down for ZDAYZ from our club!

Yeah, never trust a road's conditions at night, even if when you got onto it miles back it was dry. Good enough for ya noob?

Go back and read where I mentioned the roads were DRY when I got on the interstate, and only slightly damp where I ate it right into the guard rail. Keep in mind this was at night. If I was so at fault why didn't I get a citation? Maybe if you were there you would've stuck 20 tickets right up my *** eh?

Thanks Pam I'll see what kind of rental or whatever I get from my insurance and what the limitations are...

They look fine, except for the pass. rear, it has a knick on the outer edge of the lip. I'll post up a thread once I find out what's gonna happen to the car.

Nope, it was off. I always turn it off when road conditions allow. Unfortunately I wasn't staring at the pavement to see if it was wet to turn it back on...I wouldn't have been able to tell at night anyways...

Both accidents occurred because you were driving too fast for conditions. The fact that you received no citations does not absolve you of fault. The fact that you fail to recognize your negligence is simply baffling, especially after the first incident where you could have very well caused serious injury to another driver when you impacted with them.
