I have read posts about dealer mark up, supposed paint protection and other BS fees. My dealer is trying to charge me a $400 processing fee and $80 dealer license fee and charging twice the amount that tags cost. This is for a car that he has no idea when it will be in and I feel that this is all just additional dealer profit. His lame come back is that by law they have to charge me these fees because if not they could be liable for discrimination due to the fact that everyone must pay so I must *** well. Should I tell my dealer to GFY or are these fees actually based in truth. I remember a couple years ago these fees were less than half of what they are today. I think dealers just keep boosting them because people keep paying them and it sucks.
