Default arrested ME & the FAIRLADY Z!

Last night I was heading home from old orchard theaters. As I was heading down dempster underpass I saw a patrol car shooting his radar parked on the opposite lane. Since I live in that area I'm fully aware of most "police spots." AND this one was is the most obvious. So I'm cruizen about 35-38 mph knowing there is a great possibilty a cop is awaiting. As I pass the officer at normal 35mph going down the ramp I turn to look to the side window, back window, and rearview mirror then proceed to speed around 55-60 mph because the only car behind me has FOG lights. This is approximately close to 1/8 of a mile long(not very long) then I push on my breaks toward the top of the ramp(40-45mph) because cops are always waiting there as well.

Then about 4 blks laters *SIRENS & LIGHTS* that's when I'm looking at my brother in shock. WHAT?HOW? - i'll take full reponsibility for my speeding I just would like an explanation on HOW since it's pretty impossible to "clock" me unless he was right behind me going down the ramp WHICH he was not...and or ABOVE me which he was not. Besides he later claimed to be the officer I passed going down the ramp.

I am fully convinced he his radar clocked the car(FOGLIGHTS) behind me and assumed it was ME because of the SHINY, ZAINOED SUPERBLACK nissan 350z!

So he comes up to my window and asks the typical "drivers license and insurance" I give it to him and aske politely

Me with full respect "Officer what did I do?"

He replys with sarcasm "You were speeding!"

I replied with respect..."How fast was I going?"

Officer "How fast do you think you were going?"

I "Around 45-50 down the ramp."

Officer with an attitude "You are going to tell me you went 45?! I have you at 65 on my radar."

I said"Officer I don't understand, where did you "clock" me?" then he walks away.

(also at the police station he said I was going 55mph and I argued with the officer saying "when you stopped me you told me I was going 65 mph"

Officer said "no I said 55 mph"

so I said "I have a witness my brother who was sitting next to me at the time...I don't even have to talk to him and he'll confess you said "65mph"...get the facts straight officer."

#1.Now I'm a bit angry because first and foremost it would be nice for an officer to be polite and courteous about this.

#2. I was given attitude from the start and I don't care who you are...that's f*cken rude.

#3. I hate to stereotype police officers considering you hear many negative ones so now this just improves on this statement.

#4. He couldn't clarify and explain how?(i'm sure he doesn't have to but if I'm going to get a speeding ticket THEN RIGHTEOUSLY give me one!)

#5. So this is where the miscommunication starts to heat up.

I wave my hands outside the car...no answer.

I start to yell "Officer may I speak with you."...no answer. So I give up with fustration...

Then I decide to stick my head out the window because maybe he can't hear me or see me and yell "officer may I speak with you!"

He says "There is nothing to speak about."

I'm thinking f*cken rude! oversized pig!(j/k he wasn't oversized he was in good shape)

So there I start yelling about how I want to speak with the commander! lol it's like asking for the manager eh?...well the commander and I go way back=) *bringing that up was unneccesary but I needed to get the officers attention!

I refuse to get a ticket that I believe was not mine! I admit to speeding but their is no possible way it could have been me according to where he clocked(before going down the ramp) me because at that specific time/area I was not speeding HE'S RIGHT IN FRONT/OPPOSITE LANES OBVIOUSLY VISIBLE/ASSUMED 2 MILES AHEAD OF TIME THERE'S A GOOD POSIBILITY A PATROL CAR MAY BE WAITING.

So now I'm getting angry because I'm screaming from the top of my lungs for a reply and I recieve none. Now I know you're not supposed to do this but I'm fully aware of what I am doing at this point. I get out of the car and spread my arms to show no visible weopons and I take off my jacket just a tshirt/pants and yell "arrest me!" "Just arrest me!" He get's out of the car

Officer with his hands on his pistol says "get back in your car!"

So I lay on the ground and say "JUST ARREST ME!" I rather get arrested then a ticket that's not mine!"

All he is saying is "Get back in your car!"

I say "f*cken arrest me!"*sticking out both of my hands. He proceeds to say the same thing.

I get fustrated and say "what do you want?! Do you want to spar(bouncing up and down)?...What do I have to do for you to arrest me?!"* and turn around and put both of my hands behind my back waiting for the cufs yelling "just arrest me! damn!"

Right when I turn around PEPPER SRAY!~ right into my eyes! talk about spicyness!

I yelled "Cmon! why did you have to do that!" "That was unneccesary!"-of course if I were in that position it's totally reasonable...cops everyday risk their own life even during a citation(FORMER CITIZEN'S POLICE ACADEMY)...I step away because of the burning sensation in my eyes which lasted about 5 hrs! STill keeping my hand behind my back i said "here! are you going to arrest me now?! (cuffs come on)finally!"

I did not resist at all! I even walked toward the police car with no hesitation! He opens the door and shoves me in...and I yell "Was that f*cken neccesary! to shove me in like that! You're going to shove me in when all this time I put my hand behind my back...layed on the ground...i didn't even struggle when the cuffs went on?...you were by yourself with no backup?....and you're going to SHOVE ME?!" as the pepper spray tears roll down my eyes...burned for about 5 hrs. I was a bit dissapointed that I refused to wash out my eyes as the officers recommended it. So this burning pain in my eyes lasted til this morning(PRACTICING METHOD ACTING LOL). I kept the pepper spray in my eyes because I felt that I somewhat deserved it.

We had a great time in the police station because I was able to get my point across with the other officers because they were wondering why is this guy detained he seems so calm?...I had a smirk on my face with tears rolling down my eyes-pepper spray shot straight in my left eye so that was shut closed with non stop tears rolling down my face while the right eye was hit with very little. *you guys need to feel this*

So in the end I was charged with "obstructing & speeding"...We had a great time talking and they were suprised of my attitude. What I did was foolish because I could have jeapardized an officer's life as well as my own...for that I personally apologized to the officer as I was released on some sort of $1000.00 bail.

As for my tickets I can & will take full responsiblity for my actions(no fear) but this speeding ticket is not for me...the "obstructing" IS.

I admit to speeding WHEN the officer did not "clock" me. He clocked the car behind me with the fog lights who slowed down(knowing he or she was clocked) as I was far ahead because I sped under the bridge*making me look like the guilty one.* that's life!...you win some and you lose some but in the end it's the smile(nappiness) that prevails..cy

Not very smart,

You are lucky you were not hurt, when you said you wanted to "spar" with the officer. A sudden move to make the officer fear for his safety could have led to the loss of your life.

You do not sound like you have learned your lesson. I speeding ticket is best fought in court, not on the side of the road, and certainly not at the police station after being arrested.

In my opinion you should be ashamed of yourself.

You risked your safety, the officer's saftey, and the safety of your passenger. You then proceed to write this post, and expect fellow 350Z owners to understand?

Hopefully the judge with A) order you into conseling B) order you to go back to highschool.

Most likely you will be placed on adult probation, however.

Good Luck

Awww, come on guys. That was a heart warming story about a boy, his car, and "the man". The struggle of today's youth against their evil oppressors. A how many of you, dying in your beds many years from now, would give one chance, JUST ONE CHANCE, to come back here and tell those COPS.... that they may take our cars, but they'll never take... OUR FREEDOM!!!!!!!!!!

With your attitude at the scene, you're lucky you weren't tested for PCP. Were you hoping the cop would eventually beat you up while your brother filmed it so you could sue like Rodney King?

Grow up.

Actually an officer is not warranted to use leathal force unless his life or someone elses is in jeopardy. Had he used leathal force and no proof of weapons or physical contact HE'S SCREWED.

He did exactly what the law permits in that situation....Pepper spray until you cry like a little girl.

Thank you for wasting all of our time here. A typical commercial pilot makes approximately $65 an hour, depending on the aircraft type flown. I'll expect my $16.50 in the mail, cash or check - whichever you prefer.

hah whether or not he clocked you doesnt matter, you WERE speeding, and he got you. I for one think he did clock you. from far off or who knows what, regarudless, you were speeding, and he pulled you over. how is not in that equation.

you then acted like a jackass to him for him doing his job. if you werent aware court is where you plead your case, not to the officer.

and also if you knew anything, youd know one he touchs his pen to that pad your getting a ticket, you have a chance to persuade him when he first comes to your car for liscence and reg. after he leaves he can not tear up the ticket, they are numbered stubs, and any missing stub would have to be accounted for.
