Default Do you take road trips in your Z?

Who here can't leave town without theirs? It's like a catch 22. You don't want the tar and nicks on your car from the road trips, but you want to enjoy the car and be in it every minute. This is like a zen riddle or something. If I go somewhere nice without my Z, I always wish I would of brought it........instead of leaving it sleeping in my garage. Is there any hope?

Hmmmm, I don't think I can comprehend leaving "Marilyn" behind. In fact, I don't leave her at home when I go. Witness my total miles @ 39,460 and climbing . Quite possibly the highest mile Z on the board today. I had the Clear Bra installed early on and the paint looks pretty darn good if I do say so myself!
Got Drive? Better get some! Regards, Jim

Nice pic, Jim! How'd you get that effect? Looks ... mm .. polarized or something. Or did you add the sky from a different shot after sharpening edges or something?

Thanks, and yes, it is polarized as are nearly all my shots here in Arizona. This was already a bit of a unique sky tho and the polarizer simply added to it that day. On one of my favorite cameras (Oly E-10) I am limited to a top shutter speed of 1/640 sec and so I can p/u another 2 stops w/polarizer and get the benefit of great contrasty skies too. Regards, Jim

That is a GREAT picture. It looks almost unrealistically clear, as if the car is a toy in a large diorama.

I'm graduating in Dec and will move to Cali for work. I plan on driving the car out there and a BRA is definately going on the car. I dont plan on shipping it simply because I dont trust the shipping companies. They lost my friends integra for 3 months.

know what. I may just buy a damn real bra to use just for highway/roadtrip purposes. Remove it once I get to my destination and throw it in the hatch. I dont think it will prevent the little nicks on the hood and fenders though

I'm taking my Z drom NJ to Fayetville WV in a few weeks for Bridgeday! I went last year, and there are some awesome mountain roads on the way down, and in the area. Looking forward to it!!!

Thanks for the kind words concerning this particular photograph. It was shot about 35 miles NE of Phoenix on the border of Bartlett Lake. I went back and looked at it from a new perspective after you mentioned diorama and I can agree w/you. It has to do w/the contrast and the strange lighting of the background vs. the car all coming together with the aid of the polarizer that day. Regards, Jim

Default Clear bra

I assume you mean where on the car is it installed. It runs all the way from the trailing edge of the lights down to the lower edge under the grill with 8 mil thickness 3M. Also over the mirrors w/8mil. The headlights are covered w/40 mil. Worth every penny of the $600 cost. It took the owner and his assistant 4.5 hours to do the job. Definately not a do it yourself job! Regards, Jim

My Z went on road trip as soon as I got it. I got it in Mississippi, and had to drive it back to Louisiana. It was about 250 miles, I suppose. I wasn't driving though, since I didn't know how to drive a stick at the time. Since then, I've driven it on a couple of 180+ mile road trips.
