i recently saw my first production Z. i noticed that the area behind the wheels where the splash guards would go was covered with a clear prtoective tape. are all Z's this way or was it something that this particular dealer did? it looked like a good idea to prevent rock chips. thanks

 

This is a good question I think got overlooked. Are the splash guards necessary if the Z has the clear plastic coating allong the side where the mud would be? I didn't conciously check if it was even there the last time I went to go see the Z at the dealer...
