It wouldn't have been that big of deal if it wasn't on a holiday where I couldn't get anything fixed cause I have insurance; but right before my vacation too, c'mon.

for everyone who thinks 350z's have alarms they really don't they have "alarm"(even though it really just tells the people breaking into your car there dumb for opening the door because other wise it wouldn't have gone off)

i know this because someone hit my hood busted out my fron't windsheild passenger window rear hatch window and bent the hatch with a golf club and the alram did not go off at all i got there prob 3 min after it happend doors still locked and everything.

but luckily they didn't steal anything they were just badasses busting out windows because thats how cool they are.

im investing in a good alarm now....would have saved me alot of trouble

Yep, stock alarm only goes off when you open doors, trunk, and hood. Not really sure about the hood, I think it went off when I opened the hood last time. But that sucks, it is the time and hassle you have to go through to get your car back in shape.

I recommend a cd player with removable face. It is down grading, but that might work better for your environment.

i just post this new alarm i got in another treath and it works maybe u wanna sleep at nights this can help:

"well i just got a new gps alarm with gsm. cost me around 250 bucks but it tells instantly via cellphone when someone brakes a window, opens door starts engine etc. Then you just command it sending text messages like lock, or stop engine and then just send location and tells u exactly whjere ur car is with coordinates then just use google earth and tada!!!!! u can even speak with the guy stealing ur car cause it uses a gsm sim card like the cellphones so u call ur car and connects u tu the a speaker and a microphone inside the car its awesome. I'm installing it next week. HCeaper than most alarms and effective like no other. no anual fees no nothing u take control. "

THEY HAVE IT ON EBAY BE CAREFULL THERE ARE A LOT OF THOSE WITH DIFFERENT FUNCTIONS THE SAME GUYS HAVE THE WEBSITE WWW.GPSGSMSOLUTIONS.COM AND IF U BOUY IT FROM THERE U SAFE 50 BUCKS,
'ALSO THE HAVE THE $200 AND THE $299 I THINK THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS START REMOT3E ENGINE AND THE 2 WAY TALKING TO THE CAR AND SOME OTHER COOL **** BUT THE $200 HAS THE BASIC NEEDS. iT DOESN'T LOOK DIFFICULT TO INSTALL .THE BOX IT CAME IS SIMPLE HORN CABLES ANTENA AND THE GPS. i WENT TO DIFFERENT SHOPS INSTALLATION RANGE BETWEEN $80 AND $150. i'M INSTALLING IT IN 2 WEEKS I WILL LET U KNOW. aLSO U NEED TO BUY A SIM CARD PREPAY PHONE. i HEARD FROM LOCAL SHOPS THEY USE SPEAK UP OR SPEAK OUT FROM 7ELEVEN SO ****ING CHEAP 5 CENTS MESSAGES, FREE ALL INCOMING CALLS EXPIRES AFTER 360 DAYS SO JUST USE $20 A YEAR. REMENBER THE GPSGSM NEEDS TO SEND MESSAGE AND CALLS TO U AND VICEVERSA,'
gOOD LUCK

finally

"well for those who were asking if this crap gps gsm alarma works, well works perfectly. Vibration, doors open , engine one is awesome in second sends messages and phone calls to my cel phone and gives u alert about whats going on.
I think i'm goping to have fun with it. it took 2 to 3 hours to install is a siomple alarm with extra functions iot cost to install 125 bucks. The only thing extra i had to buy is an PAC universal module trigger. what happens is that 350z has a roll window system that when u turn the key in to the door of the car and if u keep all the way to the left or right the windows rolls up and down. so when the alrm sents a bip is to long and dooraopen and windows too a lit bit. so this converts the signal. i cost like 25 bucks and piece of cake to install. Beside that I'm so f... happy =). The guy who installed it said it was a good quality product even was amaze that i bought from hong kong.
well guys any questions let me know. now i can sleep in peace. "
