Stupid drivers!!!!
nah i'm thinkin they should be fixing that for you, or their insurance will. pretty lame because even if they did turn wide, most multiple lane turn lanes have little dotted lines to direct the flow of traffic through the turn. so you dont turn wide, you turn like the lines say you should. they are at fault
Better get the best body shop you can find, **** cost. Similar damage to my car recently, your looking at like 3 weeks in the shop...... mine took 35 days but I also needed both bumpers, exhaust and rear suspension. Costed other guy 17k plus my rental...
Are you kidding why did it take so long?
because people in texas take there time lol dont ever go to craigs collision center, trust me lol they took 2 weeks to put a new rear bumper on my car, messed up the bumber 2 more times after that couldnt get the paint to come anywhere close to matching, had it spider cracked like crazy. ive only found 1 body shop in my area that does good work in a reasonable time and thats caliber collision
Whoever you have do the work, make sure they give you an accurate description of what they are planning to do to the car. You want NO filler on the car and a good body guy can pull those dents out and make everything true again without using filler. I had a really bad fender on my Porsche where the metal had actually creased and opened a hole (similar to a crushed soda can) and several shops quoted replacing the fender while the one who did the work (Jones Autowerks in San Antonio, TX) repaired the original without use of filler (I saw the car prior to paint).
Since the damage is to the door, you're going to want to be sure everything works well after the repair is complete (windows, locks, speakers, etc). Also be sure to compare the gaps on your driver side door to those on the passenger side to be sure they re-mounted the door correctly. You are in a position to be VERY picky with the work done on the car and how it is done. You may also want to research shops which use good quality paint (and which have a competent person doing the paint work).
Pay attention to detail when you pick up the car so you can point out any problems prior to driving off...be prepared to have to leave the car with the repair shop if the repair does not meet your standards. Be nice to the guy at the shop and they will usually do a great job, it doesn't hurt to mention that you're part of an online 350Z community and that you'll post pics of the before/after and plug their shop (I did this with my P-car several times).
Good luck!
