The GVWR is what the vehicle is rated at with a full load, basically. Which would be your cargo, passengers, fuel, etc. The actual weight of a 350Z sitting unloaded is about 3400 lbs. I believe.

open your driver's side door and look at the data plate, or look in your owner's manual.

Bring your car to a weigh station.

You probably pulled into one of the ones off the freeway, right?

I found a truck scale in an industrial area that they use to check after loading their trucks. It's always open and there's never been a problem with us using it. Just ask around your local car community. I guarantee you someone knows the local spot to weigh your car.

Try looking in your owners manual. In the section "Technical and consumer information" you'll find this....

TERMS
It is important to familiarize yourself with the
following terms before loading your vehicle:
CurbWeight (actual weight of your vehicle) -
vehicle weight including: standard and optional
equipment, fluids, emergency tools,
and spare tire assembly. This weight does
not include passengers and cargo.
GVW (Gross Vehicle Weight) - curbweight
plus the combined weight of passengers and
cargo.
GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) -
maximum total combined weight of the unloaded
vehicle, passengers, luggage, hitch,
trailer tongue load and any other optional
equipment. This information is located on the
F.M.V.S.S. label.

GAWR (Gross Axle Weight Rating) - maximum
weight (load) limit specified for the front
or rear axle. This information is located on the
F.M.V.S.S. label.
GCWR (Gross Combined Weight rating) -
The maximum total weight rating of the vehicle,
passengers, cargo, and trailer.

My point exactly. Why go to an authorative, reliable source, when you can get so many myths, misinformation, and false opinions on a message board?
