Default off-topic a bit, but local (front plate?)

Since we're talking Seattle area Z's here, I'm wondering if any of you (in this area) are planning to put the front license plate on?

I'm not sure if it's even required in this state anymore... My dealership says they are NOT drilling holes in the Z and if you want the front plate you have to drill holes in the car yourself.

So who's going to put the front plate on, and who's not, in WA state?

Front plate is require in WA. I'm not going to put on....it will be sitting in the windsheild until I find a solution for it. Nissan of Fife will not install the front bracket but you will need to sign a waiver. They told me I could come back later and they will install it for free if I change my mind.

Oh - BTW - if your vin is not showing up on Nissandriven.com you have at least 2 more days to wait and maybe possibly longer depending on where they are loading the cars. Some people are saying they are bringing them in from LA by freight train and truck. If this is the case that's a 1 day trip and possibly another day by truck... anyway, I won't see my Z until Friday and I honestly think more like next weekkkkk...

Will having it in the dash avoid a ticket?

I'm not sold on the fully-in-dash placement....IMO looks more gap toothed than the factory location. A passenger dash placement would look dorky and may inhibit vision - but I may want to live w/ that until there's a better solution. Dang, I sure wish it wasn't required in Seattle and WA..

Front license is only required if you are caught. Most likely you will just be required to show you complied with putting it on. That should only work exaclly once though.

Default Hopefully 9/4 delivery

3rdPower, supposedly Seattle_350Z and I are to get our cars tomarrow, per steve , he said they expected two cars on a truck on wednesday, Seattle_350Z saw paper work indicating our cars were in transit, I am more than alittle concerned that our VINS do NOT show up on nissandriven, but last week the same thing happened...we knew cars were coming in ,but their VINS didn't appear until they were actually at the dealership. So I am waiting and trying to not get too excited so I won't be too disappointed if it doesn't show up, per steve they expected the truck on wednesday evening and it didn't show up until thursday AM at 8:30...I will be out and about tomarrow in my freshly waxed 300ZX and I will have my cell on and my fingers crossed..I will be at the DRs in downtown seattle......half way to Fife..god I hope they come in tomarrow morning...hey Seattle_350Z, keep me posted and I plan on calling steve tomarrow as well..I so want my car this week...my original delivery date was 9/12....hopefully labor day weekend only screwed things up alittle.Integraowner maybe your truck will come in too...wouldn't that be great, all of us getting our cars at once? lets hope it happens BTW how are you holding up Seattle_350Z?Oh and Integraowner I still have NOT seen a Z in person or on the street yet, but I sure would love to..we should still meet sometime to compare our cars and the whole experience..I can't say I would like to go through this again anytime soon..how about you guys?

MarcZZZ, shot me an email @ datn01@yahoo.com if you hear something tomorrow! Maybe we can coordinate picking up the Zs together. The problems is that I need to arrange some sort of ride to the dealership. I work in Bellevue/Factoria....I'll firgured something....maybe my little BRO is good for something after all. I'll have my dig camera all ready too...battery all charge....set to take 200+ pixs....man I hope the owner Marry got something special planned for US.

Default Z-less in Seattle

I would just like the wait to be over. I need to get on with my life and the new 350Z is holding me up! heheh

Since I ordered from NW nissan, I gotta head north to get mine. I wonder if the same truck would deliver to more than one dealership? Perhaps a truckload of Z's will stop by Fife first, then continue on north, eventually dropping off my silverstone touring in Lynnwood..

You guys come back and post here if you get your cars. I'll do the same.

My only bummer is that I work in south seattle - driving all the way to lynnwood could bea traffic nightmare depending on when I get "the call"

Here's the latest NEWS: expect delivery date of 9/11 (man talking about karma). I guess it's still down in Long Beach....sitting in a lot or being on a truck means IN TRANSIT. Oh well another weekend without the Z. MarcZZZ, I guess Steve also informed you too...at least that's what he told me.

Yeah, steve called, but he got my fiance, Steve was afraid to talk to me...I was on the way to the Dr. in downtown Seattle...I am sooooooooo disappointed. I cannot believe that the car is still in Long Beach. What do you think is up? Longshoremans stuff, the infamous chip, I was trying to not get my hopes up...wouldn't this have been a great day to get our cars? I work until 5:00 on the 11th, I would most likely pick it up on thursday since I get off at 4:00. I want the thing so bad I will probably figure some way to get there on the 11th IF it comes in. Iwould be happy to pick you up on the way down..I work in woodinville and you can be the car-pool dummy and we can make good time in the carpool lane. Keep me posted, maybe I'll email you with my phone numbers. It is truly a sad day.

Unhappy

I was told (downtown nissan) to expect the Z on the 2nd , so I suppose I'm in the same boat i.e. it's on the same truck.

There is a tow hook under the front grill work. It is there to assist dragging the Z onto a flatbed tow truck

00087 I believe... (ending VIN)

Downtown Nissan kinda sucks... It appears, however, that Lynwood dealership got a SHITLOAD of 350Zs a whole heck of a lot earlier then everyone else. Not too excited about picking up my vehicle anywhere near September 11th... just doesn't really feel right doing anything on 9/11 even if it does involving picking up a beautiful vehicle.
