Everything you said about the C5 is so true. The interior is absolutely horrible when it comes to durability and noises. It makes plenty of weird engine and drivetrain noise. The C5 definitely is not a practical daily driver, its a hell of a car with super looks and performance capabilities. But, i wasnt even gunna bring this up because of my previous statement " the corvette gets me in to much trouble", at a local car show i raced a 2006 350 manuel with just and intake and the vette got its a@# handed to it. So theres some real good news for this forum, the 350 can easily beat some corvettes.
Secondly you could have fixed your EBCM for $150.00 if you had done your research on the corvetteforum...

I read through all your posts - you don't come across as 17. Most of the 22 year olds on here come across as 17. It sounds like you could do a little more reading, but at least you formed good questions and have come to the right place. Honestly, I'd keep sporting the Vette if it were me and I was 17, but that's neither here-nor-there.
The real question is - what is your budget? We have an 03 and an 04 with 150k combined miles and VERY few problems. They are much better cars than what people generalize and make it seem. My buddy runs this shop (www.zcargarage.com) and they rarely have an early Z33 (350Z) in for routine problems. It would be better, however, if you can afford it, to get a car that is still under the (horrible) factory warranty. Check the VIN for the day the car was first put into service (i.e. the original purchase date), then go 36 months from there for powertrain (or 60k miles). 2006 cars are going for dirt cheap, have the stronger "rev-up" motor, and if you get one under warranty, you can follow the oil level to make sure you're car isn't one that is consuming oil.

bahaha that 350 was definitely running a hell of alot more than an intake : I think you need to do more research on the Z's and how they respond to mods...especially N/A, as well as the price...

C4's and C3's sure... so this is the only point I will contest you on... in terms of interiors I would agree that the Z's is nicer...
but I am sure that you realize there is no way in hell an 06 Z with an intake is going to take a C5 lol...
to each his own I guess.. he has a Z06, so the interior is a bit different, however I dont think its nicer than the Z's..

most countries think we are a bunch of spoiled people no matter what age you are.
so who cares if you are 17 and have a sports car. might as well take advantage of the stereotype the world has on us anyway.
plus i think the corvette is a total mid life crisis car anyway.

A Stock C5 (always depends on the dyno), but on a dynojet puts down less than I do but more TQ. So it will be most of the time a drivers race, but I haven't loss to a close to stock one yet.
But this car is worlds better than my C4 was...

I do have a bit of a hard time believing that you beat C5's all the time... even with your mods I would say a bone stock C5 would be a drivers race at best.. and if they have bolt ons forget about it... but this is pretty well known.. and most on this site would agree with this assessment

and some very good drivers have hit high 12's bone stock.. these guys are the equivelent of Pat Bateman/Veetec and a few other excellent drivers on this site who have hit low 13's with stock HR's (not the norm)...
most HR's with bolt ons run mid-low 13's... which is why I am saying that at best, a bolt on HR and a stock C5 is a drivers race

That is similar to stock HR times though. So both are real close to each other if you think about it.
I have seen many C5s run high 13s to low 14s at my track as well. I would say it takes a good driver just to get one into the mid 13s as well or low 13s. And the one of a few high 12s..

damn low 14's.... all I am saying is the norm for C5's is low 13's and the norm for HR's is mid 13's.... hence a drivers race at best.. with (in my opinion a slight advantage going to the vette).. we are basically saying the same thing... just a slight difference when comparing average times is all...
I do somewhat disagree that it takes a good driver to get mid-low 13's though... in fact the last track day I was at, there was a guy with a bone stock C5.. first time at the track, and he was running 13.4's-13.3's all day... by the end of the day he ran a 13.0.. bone stock... and this was his first time out
