Default Nissan Inventory Search

My dealer claims that he's getting a car on Sept 2nd. But when I search the inventory on Nissan's site it doesn't list anything. Do vins only show up on the site when they hit the dealership?

It seems they appear when they are finished at the port (ie customs and options) and are ready to truck and they get invoiced to the dealer from that point it should be 2-5 days until it reaches the dealer.

Just an educated guess, but I think the VINs are only posted to Nissan's site once the cars are released from the dock and are on a trailer headed for the dealership.

It could be that your car is at the port, but has not yet been loaded? (Or perhaps it could be that VINs are posted once Nissan releases the entire batch of cars, in which case you car is not among them?) Hmmm. A few possibilities here...

I mentioned on another thread that I was told that all remaining cars would be released this week, at which point they should also show up on nissandriven.com, from there is why it takes 2-5 days because it is up to the trucking schedule as to when they will show up. I know of two people that it took 4 and 5 days to arrive at the dealer from the time it showed up on the site.

I think that what does happen is that the trucking company will wait until all cars from a dealer are released before shipping. A dealer here had one car show up on the site on Saturday and then a second yesterday and both cars showed up at the dealer today.
