Sigh. Just buy the window motors and fix them yourself. But you're right that the economy is shitty right now, but it's improving.

Dude, really? You don't pay interest and principle linearly throughout the loan. Banks charge more interest up front and less at the end. That's how they make money.

Read up on it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compound_interest

Don't think the economy is the sole reason..Ive heard this same complaint from other Z owners (EG: too much kids are buying em or I see Z's everywhere now) even before all this economy hub bub.

1.The OP's car is now 6 years old.
2.Early years have know problems ( tire feathering etc)
3.Later 350z's have the HR motor with more HP and various other upgrades and fixes.
4.The new 370z is out which imo is the biggest reason why the previous models went down even further in value.

Don't sweat it, all of us are in the same depreciation boat, regardless of who owes or doesn't, everyone shares the drop in value

The key is, hang on to your car, keep it clean, mod it if you can. 10 years down the road those kids would wreck more than 1/2 of them.

The way I am figuring this recession is that there will come a time when people will spend money again someday. Back in the mid 90s the Supra went through the samething. Now a clean stock TT sells for what it did brand new. Also look at Z32 prices the tt held their value well. Eventually the prices hit rock bottom and will pretty much remain there for years. My guss is around 10k for a clean low mileage 350z in 10 or so years.

Ya never know, however, I picked up my 03' for less than $10k last year. . . Deals are out there.

Value of my Z is the least of my problems. I worry more about these investments - 401K, House and 529 Plans.
