called my dealer in daytona beach this afternoon and told him i want my 1500 deposit refunded. when i pre ordered june 16th he told me late aug, early sept. now he gets an update from regional and they tell him last week november!!!!! what the hell?? anyways, now he tells me it is a non refundable deposit. i told him to talk to the manager cause based on the delivery promiss, this is ********. i would not have ordered at all had they told me november. am i in the right or not? also, it is a touring, crome, with all option except navi and it is auto matic. if anyone is interested let me know as i would rather one of you get it than the dealer get it in and mark it up 5,000 or more. thx

 

by the way, i ordered 2 in june, one from an orlando dealer but this one was manual and i am gonna suck it up and keep that one.........same november broken promiss but i think it will be worth the wait. whats another 3 months.

 

I think it's a Florida thing. I ordered March 8 in Longwood and delivery was stated as August and now it's November. The order was faxed from my dealer to NNA in Jax when I ordered in March but Jax never faxed it to the factory until June. I have a confirmation that says August to October. I wrote ZISME and he said they are working to get the dates moved up but I got no promises.

I think you should be able to get your deposit back. If not, let me know the dealer so I can make sure not to go there. You can quote me on that.

 

I don't think its a Florida thing, I ordered March 11 in Merritt Island, mine is in dealer inventory and should be delivered TODAY

Are you sure that your dealer actually faxed your order in on the day you placed your order? Many dealers had already sold their allocation by March and were simply taking the deposits and holding them to order at a later date.

 

Yeah, I talked to Norma in the Jax NNA office and she told me they were only allowed to put in a certain number to Nissan each month. She didn't fax the order to the factory until June. I wrote ZISME and got a response but it didn't address why the order was not sent right away. Based on what I've read in other threads I think she messed up and should have sent it right away.

 

I got mine today. The dealer delivered three at once. Mine was a silverstone, the others were chrome silver and brickyard. They also had a silverstone touring 6 speed for sale. Apparently they had someone back out. On the way to the dealer I saw a truckload heading south on I-95 at Melbourne.
