Idk why everyone says that, I have an 03 with 112k miles and no rattle?
The Z's a liar. It would tell me I can put ~390 miles on my tank when I first fill it up then once i hit 50 miles to go I go maybe another 100 miles and it still says I can go 35 miles. After another 50 miles it says 20 to go, then you just see this ----. That's when I decide to fill up my take and it still only fills up 15 gallons 
I get maybe 450 miles on a "full" tank of gas lol which doesn't make sense because it says I get 25 mpg.. 450/15=30 so back to my original conclusion, the Z is a liar.
Anyways, awesome thread. Can't wait to drive my Z later haha

I'm lucky if I get 400 and I usually get about 24mpg
Do you only drive on highways or something?

You can also clean the sending unit mounted on the drivers side under the sub panel it you want it to work semi normal.
I just reset the MPG counter when i fill the car, its actually very accurate. If it says 22 MPG average, it means i can go 440 miles. I usually fill up early and put in 18 gallons to be on the safe side.
Very common, and guess where the extra 5 gallons is. IT IS STILL IN THE TANK. I drive mine for usually over 100 miles after it says --DTE. Most i have done in a tank is 500 miles , filled up 19.3 gallons.

Yeah, I live right off the freeway and work right off the same freeway. But it's roughly 30 miles down. All highway lol
