Sharp, I work at a dealer. Check for fine print for money down. It usually assumes some ~2000-5000 money down and good credit. Also, this is usually for a base base base model, no options.

Exactly. I was set to buy a used 03 enthusiast with 17K miles for $26,000 but realized that I could save another couple of grand for my down payment and get a brand new one. Now I am just waiting for a couple more paychecks to roll in.

About the financing/cash price difference.... some times it might be true that if you are going to finance it (through them), you can get a little better of a price... one time I got a contract with them, with the implication that I was going to be financing through them, then I got a check from my bank for the negotiated amount.
