A wonder if I can gain a few whp from this weight loss. I know the stock Nismos weigh 29 lbs. I remember seeing HRE do a testing and from their 8 lbs lost of wheel/tire combo they gained 8 whp.

In the mean time, got to decide if I want to refinish the wheels or just leave as is. Kinda mad, they are in pretty good shape but there are a few nicks here and there. Dude advertised them as "perfect shape, no curb rash." Well the latter is true, not the former though. I am a bit over OCD though. I guess it's the nature of the beast with used private market products.

If you drive on it, it's going to get rock chips. You should see my wheel. The red stripe is pretty much a rock chip magnet.

Must be the good paint job. Volk's paint is very soft it seems. I just found that out during my detail session.

Not only that , it's thin to keep it light and I just know that they do not bake it as hot in order to not compromise the wheel integrity. Which causes the powder coat to chip easier. I know that's exactly what it is.

That too. I actually burned off some paint on the edge of a spoke because it was so thin. Oh well, I'm considering getting new set up next season anyway.

Hmm, interesting. I was going off Nismo's statement. I think the 29 was also on a data site somewhere as well. That's very interesting though.

I think you would absolutely gain some more whp from lighter wheels on the dyno.. less rotating mass. My 17lb flywheel netted me another 11whp and 8lb/ft tq.

I also read the oem nismo wheels were 21lbs F and 29lbs R.. if that's true then there's ~15-16lbs right there then whatever your new tires weigh, etc...

I think it was a typo on the rears on that wiki page....the rears are like 25lbs

If you don't mind weighing them for us....someone did already just don't have the link to back it up right now...

my works are 26 so no way the stocks weight 29

Looks pretty good. Not a fan of the spoiler or headlights though

Nice pics Kevin. I'm not a fan of that bumper with those sides and spoiler though. Also, you need a drop. Those headlights are hideous. Just my opinion lol sorry if I'm being a jerk
