What tint did you use? I was thinking of doing some vht night shades on my headlights and taillights. Then I lost motivation. Tint might be a better more removable way to go. Didn't think normal tint would stick to plastic though.

I tried the tint film once, it freaking sucked. But i noticed that this one is stretchable with heat. That should be a nicer turnout than normal tint film.

yeah this is vinyl so it does stretch, just use a hair dryer. i took the tails off, and wrapped it around the edges. when you are tired of it or it needs replacing, it peels off pretty easy.

i did the "wet install" spray bottle with a drop or three of soap, then you can position it, squeegee some, pull and stretch where needed, as long as you dont take the dryer to it you can easily peel back up and reposition. let me find a pic on my phone

They advertise as 25% tint. Not sure if thats dark enough for swag. I might have to do 2 layers.

Was one roll enough for both tail lights?

if you cut it in half, and diagonal... there is enough to do 4 tail lights.

Sounds complicated. Guess ill have to see how dark 25% is and if 50% will be too much or not. But definitely a better option than rattle can or a shop charging 100+ to do it haha

The vinyl tint works pretty well and it stays on as long as you apply it well with no air bubbles. If you've ever tinted your windows before (using the wet method that trav did) or applied vinyl wrap, it's fairly easy.

Yea ive tint before, including my coffee table. I will have to try this film out. I like the fact that its stretchable when heated. Should be able to get the groove nicely.

Judgement time. J/K.....

But ya, never understood why anyone would tint head/tail lights for the sake of appearance. Used to have friends that ran the smoke plexi covers on their S30s.

With 100/60 Z-beams or Euro Hella H4s.

Uhhhh, wouldn't 60/55s be adequate without trying to send light through dark tint?

And get tickets for 'em at the same time?

But not judging. Hahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaa......

That makes more sense, but if you're putting LEDs in the tails for the brake lights, you should have probably gotten red and not white. I think with white, you're begging the cops for a ticket.

Also, if your car starts driving funny, then the lower load with the LEDs are probably messing with the ECU.
