If anyone has ever seen my thread on my Shiro (in the "Other Cars" section), you may recall the episode about the "crooked tailpipe" it had - along with my pedantic obsession (annoyance) with it - and that that was going to be the last thing I do to the car after everything else was done, signaling it was a "Finished Project".
Ehhhhhh, guess it'll never get straightened now.

I just had a bunch of scrap 2x4's laying around at work. Since we were slow all day with this storm I decided to keep my self busy and just made my own lol
I got the sleeves from the upper control arms and the lower ball joints off... I ruined one when I got impatient and did a poor removal attempt. Luckily they are extras.
I attempted to press out the ball joint on the upper control arm. It didn't do much but destroy the piece.
I've tried a couple different "low dollar" ramps but none too pleased due to slipping.
A friend has a pair of big dollar Race Ramps that work amazingly well but for my purposes, a $40 pair of ramps just to get a jack under my car would be awesome. Not spending 2 bills just to get my car on stands.... I can stick to the "take turns on each side" jacking method.
Our new house has a hump at the driveway/curb. I barely clear now but after I go a little lower it won't happen. Found an RV assist ramp for 100 bucks on campingworld.com. I just hope no one else steals it. Lol.

I don't have any personal experience with these ramps, I have old Rhino Ramps myself and my front bumper is QR so I can take it off in less than a minute to drive up them with no issue.
If you read the reviews on the link they're pretty stellar, and with the President's Day Sale it's 15% off.. If I didn't already have ramps already I would buy these in a heartbeat.
Maybe CK can chime in with a review since his friends own some.
You can get a pressure treated 2x8 for like $12 and make some sturdy ramps that give you jack room... I dont think I would go with anything smaller because the tire might slide off when your jacking up the opposite end.

Yea that's my biggest issue with ramps they love to slide.
Using 2x4's always seems to work better. Especially if you slope some of the edges or get some slim wood to aid in roll over.
As far as falling off the edge I've never had an issue. Just keep it slow and steady as always and don't get under it.
I always triple check it's on center if not I roll back and do it over again.
Picked up my wheels from powder coating (If you need a reasonably priced and excellent work coater and fender roller here in the Bay Area, let me know via PM).
There's always an odd gratification from peeling the plastic no-overspray tape.
Fully re-assembled one.

Organized the rest for reassembly. Got lazy, will finish and swap out my AME/Enkeis tomorrow or next day.
Already liking them much more than the former gun metal finish.
EDIT: Too giddy, hadda go out and finish re-assembling them; burning the midni....er, 9pm oil in the process...

Got my fenders professionally rolled in Denver. No need to post pics because you can't even tell anything was done. Lol.
Dude did a great job and said he'd flare them for free if necessary when I go lower or change wheel fitment.
