Maybe next time I'll keep it on. I like having all the room though, and I give it a nice cleaning when its off.
Keep in mind my car isn't a nice clean California car. Massachusetts has a bit of a salt problem.
Oh suuuuuuuurrree....throw our awesome weather and salt free roads in my FACE Dboyz. Ha ha. I get it...though having lived here all of my life it's hard to relate.
I took my OEM 06+ to a friend to repair them due to my headlight seal broken. Then ended up with this, of course at my discretion. I must be honest, it gives it a "cleaner" and "modern-er" look to a black Z. I loved the OEM, and I also love the new look. If anyone wants to get in touch with my friend, DM me. Charge rate is very cheap. Still waiting on those questions to be answered I asked of you, @Heel Til I Die.
Who else takes this off every time even though it has a oil change window?
Not I. Bought it to save me time, and protect my car from the salt/mess. I do oil changes in my driveway and every 5k, so I love the little oil change window.

Reason: Double post.

The window is a little small, a larger one would be very nice because I need that extra leverage to break open that filter. It's always in there good.
As I was making the switch, besides the "hanger" cable needing to come out, I did not not know how I was going to take the metal spring, white plastic etc. mechanism onto my new handle which did not have that.
I think I have realized that I have basically bought a set of broken door handles. My current handles work, they just look ugly as I posted in the past about the bubbling.
So much for my $50 and a 2hrs drive round-trip. Hope someone can confirm that I am not mistaken.
Not my picture, but the "new" handles is exactly as shown on the handle door with the broken plastic piece. People these days...

That spring isnt supposed to come off unless you break that little mechanism. I bought oem handles because breaking it off and gluing it back in did not work at all.
My son and I replaced the hatch struts on our '05 Enthusiast (125k miles) with a new HP set from Z1 Motorsports - they work great! (FYI - our hatch only has the stock spoiler).
EDIT: Did you use a 350Z Brake lines or 370Z brake lines for the Akebono calipers? I'm looking to do this myself soon.
Hey Zwei - sorry for the late response. I just made it back to civilized society after Zdayz
I snagged the rear calipers and pads off the marketplace and they came with a set of Matt Lewis Racing steel braided lines. The kit was for the non-brembo's. They were a perfect fit.
EDIT: Here's the FS thread. If you PM agr12, he may be able to tell you exactly what it he sold me.
I sourced the rest of the BBK (rear rotors, front calipers/rotors/pads) from Z1 and I used their adapters for the fronts. Feel free to PM me if you have any ?s!
